Incredible signing. Watch them wrap up Guehi tomorrow as well. Has any club ever had a window even nearly as good?

Liverpools owners are an absolute benchmark when it comes to seizing the initiative and pushing the boat out when they know they are onto a winner.

They did it for Klopp and they are doing the same for Slot.
Getting the right manager in and backing them consistently with top quality players.

They need 2 CBs tbh.

Def favs for title now.

Really don't get the Rogers thing, especially now having bought Simons, who operates in the two same principle zones. But is not as good in those zones. Rogers had a productive season last season, but it was a bit of an outlier in his 23yo career. Simons has 76 goal/assists in 10,000 minutes, Rogers has 49 in nearly a thousand minutes more and a lot of those were in the lower leagues so comparable to Simons in the EV/BL

Really fucking strange.

Please apply BL/PL context but still...

I think we were definitely looking at it before signing Simons.

That’s why Villa were trying to get Paqueta.

We signed Simons, Rogers stays at Villa (played tonight) , and Paqueta did his little dance to pretend he really wanted to stay at fucking West Ham.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Solanke is out longer than expected

If he is, I just think bad luck but this time next season, both he and Richarlison must be moved on.

Whilst Licerpool have just signed 2 strikers, one very good, if despicable in his actions, who will make then more potent, our two offer very little I by comparison.

I've said before not the worst by any stretch but equally not good enough, amd certainly not in the top 6 best two options in the PL

Deadline day update from my mate at the Telegraph.

- The Spurs fax machine has run out of paper from clubs enquiring about Bergvall. (He won't go anywhere)
- Spurs need English players. Mainoo, Sancho, Rogers/Ramsey, Elliot will be ones to watch.
- Spurs made an enquiry for Gakpo (he has since signed new deal)

We don't 'need' English players. It wouldn't make a difference for UEFA squad (unless it's walker peiters or Kane) , and our PL squad is fine anyway.

Win for Newcastle tbh

Can see him being a let down for Liverpool. Ekitike already started well
I'm not sure it helps Liverpool all that much. Liverpool was already getting from Ekiteke most of what they will get from Isak. I know you need depth, but you can create problems you didn't have when you try to divide two players worth of minutes among three (Ekiteke, Gakpo, Isak). And if they try to take Salah off before 90 minutes I don't think he'll accept it. Now it will be interesting to see how fast Newcastle can pivot with the deadline at hand.
