Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Nobody knows how this transfer window will pan out but if someone told me at the start of it we’d have Simons,RKM,Kudus and Paulinha then I’d have very happy with it. Even if you take Paulinha out of it the other 3 improve us massively in my eyes.
100% spot on.

Frank was never going to fix this squad in a single transfer window.

Seven in?

Can't bitch about that when you consider the quality.

The two loan players have everything to play for given the fact that they have a WC year coming up.

This will piss off some posters.

Spurs chose to bring in Kolo Muani when we could have brought in Lookman !

Spurs made the correct choice

well played and thoroughly agree... only modern fans who don't realise the history of the UEFA cup call it second rate because to them, the media driven finishing 4th has always been better than the fan driven lifting silverware. I got no joy finishing 2nd or 4th but watching my 18 year son experience first hand Spurs lifting a trophy and visibly struggling to contain the tears of joy will forever trump any 2nd, 3rd or 4th place finish.
You never hear Liverpool or United fans carrying on about the times they finished 2nd. Winning trophies is what it's all about.

Calling GOAT GOAT a cunt and a kid used to result in every post you have done in the last year downvoted and the worst language imaginable directed at you and everyone you ever knew.

Times have changed...maybe he is a grown up now :paraticiwink:

I’ve got several posters on long term ignore which probably means I’ve missed some of those insults tbf.

Works better for me.

😎

And I don’t mind Nigel. Makes me laugh (in a good way).

Also genuinely how many of our squad would get into their squad, and who would they replace ???
I would say muani is better than jesus.
Kudus better than trossard, I know it's a slightly different position....
Van de ven and romero for Ben white and timber..
That's it....4 players.....
Wgat do you think, I would love to know your thoughts on the 2 squads ?

Oh look here we go, overrate gooner post from a poster who has never rated any Spurs players

I’ll say this, so far every member of that Woolwich squad is a trophy dodging bottle job that pledged their support for rapist Partey.

I’m not taking one of them in our squad.

Has Saliba ever won anything in his life? Romero easy choice.

Raya is a flappy hobbit. Vic has an adult sized body so he’s an easy choice.

VDV had one of THE iconic European Final goal line clearances. Gabriel does some headers at corners. Another easy choice.

I could go on.

Really...so one trophy and no chance of anymore...or being among the favourites for the Premier league and the champions league with a stacked squad that any club would love to have...
Ffs the backup left sided defender they just signed would walk into our team..
Let's see hiw many trophies they win in the next five years and how many we win...
I can tell you right now who has a better chance, those scumbags up the road in red...

Gooners favourites for the Champions League?

I am all for speculative purchases of young talent. Dele is probably the finest example in our recent history, and both Bergvall and Sarr look being very successful purchases in the same vein. However, I still cannot get my head around spending as much as £40m on the likes of Gray and Tel. That is an awful lot to spend on players that the club clearly acknowledge are not ready to start (otherwise we wouldn't have gone out to get Palhinha, Muani, and tried to buy Savinho). With the £80m we have committed to Gray and Tel we could have bought MGW or Savinho early in this window. If Levy really wants to win the PL and the CL we need more Savinhos and less Tels. Either Tel and Gray start and develop and become the players we want in 18 months, or they stagnate and go backwards. If we had of bought Wharton when he moved to Palace he'd still be an unused squad player and woudl not have shown any of th eform he has found at Palace.

Second tier cup, my dog's hole.

If it were down to me I'd make it a perma-bannable offence to belittle our European glory. As it is, I'll just have to use the block function. Now away with you.

I suspect what's really going on here is that the disappointment of finishing 17th in the league is affecting how some fans assess the Europa League win. Had we finished in a 'respectable' position—say, for argument's sake, top 6—I doubt there'd be much noise about the EL as a second tier cup.

One f them, grow up....or do you u think we are 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Where did he say or even imply that we are?

He's rightly laughing at you for caressing gooner asshole with your tongue. Woolwich are now serial bottlers - I'm sorry if that upsets you.

Don't you think it's really weird that you're posting on a spurs form praising the scum?

Take a break and then come back and apologise, kiddo.

2 things imo

1. I’m happier with Muani because our 2 CFs have injury problems and Muani might be our best CF even when they are fit.

2. Fair play Lookman. This makes me respect his ambition and more encouraged to sign him if we ever went back for him later.

Lookman was always going to be our back up if we could not get one of our higher choices on our list of possibles which included Saviola, Kolo Muani, Leao et al, all of whom (and no disrespect to Lookman) far better players who help take Spurs up a notch.

I doubt now if we will ever sign Lookman as in any future transfer window I think we will either be aiming for far higher rated players for the 'here and now' or player with potential to be so. And Lookman doesn't fit into either category, if he came he would be to fill out our squad but we'd want better in a year or two..

Very happy to have got Simons and Kolo Muani after Kudus this window all of whom were higher up our list of possibles and are far better players.
