I really like this transfer.
Dibling has a similar profile as a strong dribbling ball carrier but is an unready kid. This guy is ready. He has the Nico Williams/Leao profile.
Be nice to have a really powerful two way winger.
I personally dont think its a Saudi front. Because Saudi wants the publicity. Its pointless writing cheques if they don't get the credit.
But its true Saudi's are an investor in Clearlake and Clearlake own Chelsea.
My feeling is that they probably have a high wage bill, running out of things to sell back to themselves and players tied down on long term contracts. Wouldnt be suprised if they sold a big name like Enzo to bring in some cash.

When the likes of Vertonghen and Eriksen left we didn’t replace them for years, and took a year to replace Harry freakin Kane.
Absolutely nothing is beyond Spurs when it comes to making an utter cock of replacing a player.
If we don’t sign someone to replace him you’ll likely hear a few old classics such as “Player X that is nowhere near good enough that we signed years ago is Son’s replacement” or “Franks new system is his replacement, we can’t replace him with an actual player.”
He’s properly 2-footed, fast, strong, hard working oop.

In today’s market good deal. We need players like this particularly for big games when ball rentention, ball carrying is vital.
He’s a decent player but for the price Forest would want, surely there’s better value on the continent. We’re in danger of spending big money (in Spurs terms) on players that are marginally better than what we’ve already got. As others have said we need at least 2 attacking players who are a serious threat and who will make the opposition take seriously.

I think with Johnson, Maddison, Kulusevski, Richy, Solanke we have enough finishers. £70m is high but we don’t have his profile in the squad. The alternatives are WillIams or Leao which is unrealistic or Dibling who isn’t ready.
I think him and with Odobert as his understudy on the left and Johnson with Dibling as his understudy on the right is not a bad blend.

I’m not sure he plays LW as well as Eze or RW as well as Mbeumo but he’s younger than both so could easily reach that level.
Still think we’d need another left footed attacker and another option at AM in case Frank moves Kulusevski back to the RW

Absolutely love Sonny, I doubt there's a Tottenham Hotspur suppoerter that doesn't but him leaving with a trophy, at a time where his legs are ageing, and with a new manager incoming, along with it being our last opportunity to get serious money from Saudi Arabia it just all leads to a win/ win.
Get good money, leave a genuine legend of the club, on a true high which so few have been able to have done and use it to grow and finally make a sale that is truly beneficial to the club. The last I can remember us making was Wimmer to Stoke for £20m
