Man Utd's Bryan Mbeumo plan scuppered by Brentford's demand in latest twist

If Brentford really want tfer fee up front that counts us out, and probably manure as well.
Brentford are not being unreasonable at all. They have an option to extend Mbeumo's contract a year so technically he's got 2 years left with them. Why should they sell Mbeumo for less than United paid for Cunha? Most fans would prefer Mbeumo in their team!

United screwed up by overpaying for Cunha and then offering Mbeumo 200k a week to get him to agree to join them and not talk to anyone else. Now United are annoyed that Brentford want over 60m? Idiots. Mbeumo is currently on 45k a week and had 5/6 clubs talking to him and offering to treble his wages to 150k, then you can justify paying over 60m on him. United came in with their 200-250k a week deal to look all great when Mbeumo chooses them, and are now realising they are overpaying because Brentford are demanding nearly 70m.

Ironically, if they try get Mbeumo to agree to less wages now to justify the transfer fee, Mbeumo will probably choose to go somewhere else! United never cease to amaze me in the transfer market. Like something out of only fools and horses

"the west Londoners have made it clear that any transfer fee needs to be paid up front - not in instalments"
Confuses me that they would risk losing him for much less when he enters the final year of his deal next season, this is their best chance to get a high fee structured deal on their own terms. Makes sense if they genuinely feel relegation threatened without him but I think their squad is good enough if they refused to sell anyone else after Mbeumo and spent the money wisely to replace him (something they have done very well thus far) they won't do worse than 3 other teams next season.

Cirkin or Walker-Peters if people like it or not makes so much sense.

We have club trained and homegrown numbers on the brink of causing squad issues and this eradicates other issues we may have in any other area of the pitch.

Last year lost Kane, Skipp even Forster leaving caused a homegrown ripple effect.

I understand why links like this get the piss taken out of them but they are a probably necessity based on squad regulations and that needs to be taken into account. I've no issue with Cirkin being signed, as long we other signings are made to maximise these kind of strategic moves.
Danish news links TF with Walker-Peters also says hes looking for alternatives to Mbeumo.

Doesn't mean he's a left winger...

All these formations putting him in a position he doesn't play, he plays as an inside 10 at Palace and is allowed to drift

Unless Frank set the team up in the same way which I cannot see personally.

Whilst at CP - According to TFM:

CAM - 77 app
LW/LAM - 52 apps.

TBH; it'd be interested to see what position is deemed best for him at a bigger club; cos clubs don't/won't set up against us in the same way they do against Palace.

There's a reasonable theory that he'd need the extra space that being a w/fwd might provide.

Want eze to provide competition to maddison. Eze is a better player technically imo. Maddison will have to pull his finger out as well. Also reason we need another striker. Not 100 per cent convinced with Solanke. Big fuss over mbuemo. Imo big fish in small pond. Wont be gutted if we miss out on him. Plenty more fish in sea. Wouldnt surprise me we offloaded vicario as well and get trafford in from burnley. More questions than answers from squad last season imo.
