Yep, and that's what I am assessing Frank against.

The Europa win wax great but totally incongruent.

The league is where it's at, and that's my area of comparison.

Below 8th, irrespective of other competitions and it's not good enough.

Because we don’t go after players anyone else is after. You can’t “win the deal” or annoy the fuck out of other chairmen with cheapskate tactics and lowball bids when there’s serious competition for the player.

The only way we get Eze is if we have a clear run at him. If Woolwich or City are genuinely interested, we won’t even bother trying.

We’re shopping in the bargain basement till ENIC fuck off unfortunately.

I don't believe the club is in for any of the big names that are being touted about.
Let's face, the hierarchy are trying their best to recruit the cast of Bugsy Malone and save on spending.
Exactly why, Frank has been brought in for, to polish up the potential and overachieve with the goods at hand.
No importance or belief can be placed on The Levy interview, that was rampant PR flowing out of every pour.

I don't think I'm being blasé, I just think we've got a squad that's much better than what we saw last season and a new manager that could do exciting things with it.

Incomings and outgoings will happen, just think the main man that's in control of it needs to have a look first, Liverpool pretty much the only club in the league that's sorted their house out properly already and that's after a season of their manager being there with gaping holes left from outgoings and Andy Robertson's asthma pills finally running out.

Anyone else read that as our financial year starts July 1st, that's when we might see some signings? Something to do with FFP?
 
Brentford should call United's bluff.

Mbuemo will eventually have to decide between staying at Brentford and joining us.

This reminds me of my prom date scenario. The girl I wanted to go with was waiting to hear back from the captain of our basketball team, I waited and he eventually told her no. I then swooped in.
