My point was that we've spent a lot more on transfers since the new stadium opened than before. I was not commenting on how well that money was spent. So the stadium was a game changer in that regard. There was no way we'd outspend the likes of Woolwich, Man C and Liverpool before the new stadium.

I was very underwhelmed by the appointment but like anything, the Spurs PR machine made me think Frank could be the real deal and maybe my initial concerns were wrong. But for now, this shows a total lack of ambition and was my worry with us hiring Frank all along. I don't feel like he's been hired to win. If it is a long term project then we back him and just put up with all the short term struggles. However, it's just very underwhelming going into a season when it feel like the club have just accepted we are at least 3 years away from being competitive.

The problem Frank will have is that the club and club friendly journos have peddled the line that he’s going to elevate The squad through superior tactics and better training. It isn’t a given if we start badly then straight away and it might be his fault if he isn’t back in the transfer market. Which we know he won’t be

It’s only a game changer if it changes the recruitment model and it didn’t. We had a higher wage bracket during the Poch years before the tournament

We should but what's the point! We've seen the football authorities only flex they're muscles when they can bully clubs like Everton and Forest. Nothing will happen with city or Chelsea - they should get slung out but that won't happen.
