He's there, but he's spelt Akliouche.

I don't hate the notion of signing Kudus, he at least excels at some facets of attacking play, like 1v1 take ons, he's kind of like a left footed/right sided Doku - really great at taking players on, still a bit hit and miss on end product.

But I think we are crazy if we don't move on Akliouche, he'll be similar/cheaper (certainly wages will be cheaper) he has a more rounded skill set, and he's not going to be missing for 6-8 weeks every other season for AFCON.
We don't have to worry about Kudus being missing for AFCON for the next 2 years. Ghana didn't qualify.

Eh, that's overly simplistic.

Playing against Benfica in the league is a higher level game than Sturm Graz in the CL.

For club and country in all competitions, against good teams and bad, he is just going completely bananas right now, and looking every bit another Haaland.

It's hard to explain why he was so far from that as a 22-year old in the Championship, but he's made a significant step forward in every season since and his sheer physicality is pretty undeniable, his talents are not subtle.

The PL is another big step up though, no question about that.

Of course; proof will out eventually one way or another.

I still find it curious how with the paucity of top STs atm; clubs seem to be reluctant to bite on him, Sesko & Osimehn.

Scum are dragging their heels after already getting cold feet on Sesko.
Chavs opted for Delap over all 3 (which is so unlike them......)
Man U getting linked to DCL & Moise Keane.

.....I'm sure other clubs around Europe could do with a so-called "top striker" too, but all 3 are still on the shelf; no bidding wars in sight.

Interesting one.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never watched a full game of Alliouche but from what I’ve watched, there is something about him and that data is nuts for such a young player.

On the other hand, Kudus is legitimately elite at 2 or 3 things that we actually need now so I get why they would target him first.

I think there is a case to be made that Akliouche is more of a 10 and we could use one of those 2 but I’m not holding my breath for another attacker after Kudus because #6 and LB/LCB are more critical

Big difference playing over here and playing in France.

He's 23 vs Kudus being 24.

Pretty much anything to do with Football.

I mean Woolwich has been bidding big on Sesko and Gyokeres and seems to have chosen between them.

Osimhen is the one I truly don't understand, but with the disputes he's had with his clubs and the scuppered Saudi deal, maybe he's just not someone with the PL/CL competitive apex in his sights.

It's a shame because he's a top, top player. Absolutely tore us to shreds in the EL.

Yeh; but as I said, clearly dragging their heels over both and their respective fees. They appeared (face value of rumours) that they were chipping away at Sesko for some time (including last Jan)...... He appeared to be their main target. Then suddenly that goes silent and they shifted their attention to Gyko instead over the last dew days.

He did...... Injury problems were full bite at that point tho'.

Forster, Dragu, Davies, Grey (LB), Berg (before he'd started to settle), Lankshire all started.... Son off at 45m... Maddison off at 65m.

Perhaps top striker prospects aren't actually so rare?

We haven't even mentioned Ekikite

https://sport.sky.de/transfer/news/...Woolwich-einig-sesko-wechsel-droht-zu-platzen

RB supposedly want 100m Euros for Sesko. He's not worth anywhere near that.

I know it's irrational, but I would sure feel a lot better about Kudus at 50M than 65M
If he works out as well as he could even £100m would feel like a bargain and conversely if he flops it being 50 rather than 65 is not going to meaningfully soften the blow.
Looking strictly at his attributes, what could improve with the right coach and settled in one position, and what he might look like in 2-3 years time when he hits his physical peak, I think he will improve us for sure, not to mention I love that we are picking up a player with completely different attributes to Johnson to rotate with him, we have (rightly) complained for years about a lack of meaningful options off the bench, the idea of being able to throw either of Johnson or Kudus on for 30 mins to change a game is much more appealing than trying to get a tune out of Bryan fucking Gil...
