Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They will sell with a year left. What they should have done is said £70m so that way they get £45-50m for him by starting high. Instead they came out with a silly number, wouldn’t be surprised if they got worked down to £30-35m, they come across as amateur, Levy and other clubs will smell blood.

Sounds like there's a bidding war for him

No one is paying 100m for Dibling 😂

With what we paid for Romero we should not be considering anything below 80m, coming into his prime and will perform again under a proper coach and I for one do not trust Levy or our scouts to replace him with anyone better, because Danso and Dragusin are not the answer and nowhere near his standard.

We also need experience in the squad, so should be trying to keep likes of Romero and not get dragged into the Levy economics of selling our best players, you win by keeping the better players and building in them, not by cashing in on them.

Should be adding Brandwaithe or similar, a quality number 6 and a dribbly winger, as a minimum this summer.

Shift Richy and replace him with someone like Cunha/Delap/Schick.

After that I would be making Biss available for transfer immediately and Bents if the right money came in and a replacement was identified, Baena at Villarreal possibly?

There are others for consideration, though not necessarily for sale:

Johnson is someone stumps up the right cash, as he is much better suited to counter attacking team, could see a return to Forest if they get CL.

Son if the money came in, though prefer to see him stay and see what he is like under a proper coach again.

Scarlett I would sell, Davies near the end of his days in top league football, so probably sell/let go as well. Sell Solomon also.
Southampton have quoted that ridiculous price as they have been so shit the premier league might not give them a parachute payment when they go down.😊

I think Cardoso to Spurs for £21m looks more and more likely...

Pinpoint passing and most La Liga interceptions: Johnny Cardoso has what Spurs need

Will be age 24 just after start of next season, in September, so not the youngster some might expect.

If he weren't part of the Lo Celso deal I suspect his value would have been more like £50m or so, so not the 'cheap' £21m we seem to have pre-agreed.

Certainly looking to be an upgrade on the inconsistent Bissouma - particularly if he can replicate on a regular basis his apparently stellar performance v Real Madrid. And more of a specialist DM/no 6 than the hybrid 6/8 than Bissouma might be - something we've lacked for a few years.

Quite likely nobody better around - rumours are that the likes of Liverpool would also want him - so bar something unexpected happening he seems likely to be announced in early July to Spurs.

Cardoso and a few assorted 12 year olds. That'll be our summer. Cheap shit as usual.

More money for the Bald cunt, fuck everything else.
Our midfield needs tearing down and rebuilding tbh. Hopefully Cardoso does come in and it's a good start, but I'd happily see the back of Bentancur and Bissouma, I guess the view with Cardoso is him taking the 6 role off Biss, maybe you can get away with a MF 6 of Kulu, Madds, Cardoso, Gray, Bergvall and Sarr but will require us to actually play Gray as a CM.

I'd be shocked if we don't sign Cardoso give his value will already be higher than the 21m we negotiated and will go up even more once he starts playing prem games. From his perspective Americans only really care about the Premier league as far as football goes, bit like Aussies, so he will want to make the move as it will represent a big move for him. Fits the system and our needs well. Absolute no brainier really. Meanwhile Biss or Benta will be sold, maybe both with Gray and Angel Gomes coming into midfield.

Other positions I see us getting is a RW in either Madueke, Bakayoko, Bailey or Dibling, a left back and possibly a CF in Gyokeres or Jonathan David, and selling Richie.

And then Romero going with Guehi coming in.

Wow that is super optimistic , or despite your name you are from Qatar and have bought the club and it’s not been announced. No way ENIC / Levy spend the money needed for that wish list .
