The fact remains MR was in the last squad (and has since done OK with Villa); so it's hardly a stretch to imagine him being picked again if he can get back from injury in time.

There are around 10 players I would play ahead of him in his position. Bowen I would put ahead of him, Rogers at Villa can play LW and is far better than Rashford. Hudson-Odoi has done more for Forest in the last 2 seasons than Rashford has done. We have a large number of wingers/AMs that would do a better job shoehorned in on the left than Rashford, eg Palmer, Madueke, Foden.
My point stands, he's fucking guff and if our setup was selected on merit (rather than 5,000 year old Jordan Henderson still being picked) he wouldn't get a sniff at a 30 man squad much less a 25 man one.

Maybe not top of posters list to think of..... but this is the short list of likely outgoings of players outside the current squad (so no replacements required) :
€20m (£17m) - Hojbjerg loan to Marseille with obligation
£20m - Solomon to Leeds or other team
£15m - Gil, probably to a Spanish team.
£3m - Edwards sell on clause
So in total a potential £50m (ish) incoming.
Additionally squad players Davies, Forster and Reguilon contracts come to an end in June, but no funds are raised, similarly Werner and Tel's loans come to an end in June. But spaces in squad are created

Other than that everyone has a clean slate , regardless of the EL campaign this group of players should be competing for top 5 this season , the reason we aren’t is down to Ange and it’s shocking that Levy has just let the death spiral commence ,
My biggest worry is that the team now see losing as OK , I want the gaffer smashing up the changing rooms even if we throw away a lead and draw , 21 PL losses is absolutely shocking and the thing that worries me the most is as fans if we have become numb to the losses what’s that doing to the players?
