He's just not, though, Gordon is better right now, Gittens at Dortmund has unequivocally had a better season and likely has a higher ceiling, and if I'm taking a player to a tournament who has barely played for their club based on the strength of their national performances I'm taking Grealish all day over Rashford.
That's without mentioning describing Rashford's form as "patchy" would be an incredibly generous understatement, vast chasms of nothing exist between his useful periods for United.
I have strong doubts about this rumor (like most of them) but anyway...

Aye.and have no ambiton.
There are so many players around that would improve us.
Slap 60m down and 300k a week for Osimhen. Instant Kane replacement.
"On 30 January 2025, RB Leipzig signed Simons on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain for €50 million plus €31 million in potential bonuses."
4 months later:
On 14 May 2025, Simons informed Leipzig of his decision to leave the club at the end of the 2024–25 season, citing the team's failure to qualify for the following season's Champions League as a key factor."
This kid's not exactly big on commitment and culpability is he?
There are around 10 players I would play ahead of him in his position. Bowen I would put ahead of him, Rogers at Villa can play LW and is far better than Rashford. Hudson-Odoi has done more for Forest in the last 2 seasons than Rashford has done. We have a large number of wingers/AMs that would do a better job shoehorned in on the left than Rashford, eg Palmer, Madueke, Foden."we have double digits players better than him in either of his preferred positions"
Dude.... Your rebuttal is dependent on 1 x 20 y/o's ceiling.
The fact remains MR was in the last squad (and has since done OK with Villa); so it's hardly a stretch to imagine him being picked again if he can get back from injury in time.
(I'm not fanboying for him btw - and you may not personally rate him - but it is what it is......)
Short career, why should he be?
Unless we are talking academy kids, loyalty doesn’t and probably shouldn’t exist at this level
The problem with this club. One marquee signing?"On 30 January 2025, RB Leipzig signed Simons on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain for €50 million plus €31 million in potential bonuses."

Romero's been here 3 years; not 4 months.
He's also not agitating for a move after RBLs first instance of no CL as a player still on the way up...... (He did precisely nish at PSG and yet is acting like a big time charlie)
Before we start selling anyone let’s get a proper gaffer in and see what these players look like when coached!
This squad of players should not be 17th in the table staring at 21 losses in the PL (so far)
Only players I’m getting rid of straight away are Sonny (love the guy but we need to start again)
Richie - good player always injured
Other than that everyone has a clean slate , regardless of the EL campaign this group of players should be competing for top 5 this season , the reason we aren’t is down to Ange and it’s shocking that Levy has just let the death spiral commence ,
My biggest worry is that the team now see losing as OK , I want the gaffer smashing up the changing rooms even if we throw away a lead and draw , 21 PL losses is absolutely shocking and the thing that worries me the most is as fans if we have become numb to the losses what’s that doing to the players?
Certain players need to leave regardless of what manager we get in
Werner, Johnson, Richy, Biss, Romero (leaving anyway) Solomon, Gil
Trafford? what?Palhinha
Gittens if we win europa
Sesko for same reason
Trafford
That's about 190 mill there
If we sell romero Davies, kulu yes i said and reg we can recoup most of it.
Players that are not impossible for a team like ours to get and players that immediately improve the team
