Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Clutching at straws. Levy will take all summer to negotiate a fee and his terms wont be good for Mbuemo. United will offer almost 200k.

Mbuemo, like Cunha said he doesnt mind a project, so isnt fussed about lack of CL.

I didn't see much from Tel that would cause me to rate him, can't imagine paying that high a fee in any event.

Agreed.

I think her analyses is that most of the players in the squad are ok and the only question is who comes in. I think she has fairly limited knowledge of our youth (as a ManU fan, no great surprise)

In summary :

GK - Keep all 3 (Vicario, Kinsky, Austin)

Defenders - Almost certainly the question is who replaces Romero (answer maybe Guehi or Branthwaite - both can play LCB or RCB). The other CB at risk is Dragusin, all other first teamers stay. No mention of Vuskovic. she noted no links to FB's

Midfield - Bissouma the more likely to move on (Ederson possibly coming in) rather than Bentancur. Nobody else moving on, so all other first teamers stay. She name checked Donley without taking it further - IMO Donley comes into squad as cover for Maddison and Kulusevski. I also think the versatile Devine will stay and reinforce CM.

Attack - Solanke, Johnson and Odobert stay. Son might move on. Tel will not be signed with Spurs preferring a more experienced player (with Moore and Yang potentially coming through - latter not this season imo). She thinks Mbeumo transfer is too far advanced so will go to ManU. Richarlison will move on. 2 players come in maybe Wissa (Brentford link) and Eze. IMO we may need an extra body so Scarlett or Lankshear may stay if Frank guarantees some playing time

A fairly predictable list of positions to fill, and players to move on. The incoming players a solid guess.

I think she is correct in suggesting that we do a number of transfers in July/August after Frank has seen and talked to more of the players - although IMO we may bring in a player or two in next few weeks if we are certain of them and feel the need to sign them before they go elsewhere. She suggested doing another video in a month when Frank has been in place longer and had firmed up on his ideas for the squad.

From the few videos I have seen of her I think she is better at analyzing that is "there" already rather than what might be (like her match tactics analysis are fairly good).

Liverpool are absolutely going for it. Incredible really but they are obviously counting on selling some players and buying for the future, whilst they have leverage.

I saw Janie Carragher at Schipol airport yesterday. I should have asked him what he thought. He was only 2 or 3 yards away and sat with his mares.
That type of risk, isn't something we associate with at Tottenham.
Under the set up, no chance would we ever be trying to chase those type of signings.
