Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As a richy replacement I could stomach this PROVIDING its because we are going big for RW and CM.

LW: Odobert/Tel/Moore
ST: Solanke/Kalimuendo
RW: Johnson/New Rw

New rw being mbeuno or semenyo.

No bother mate, I'm a newbie around here so just trying to understand how things work with likes of this stuff. From what I know herc and trix from there are very hit and miss but if admin on here don't want it posted then that's no bother.
Admin won't say yea or nay mate.

Everyone else on here posts their info to either laugh at it or go into one because they hate SC.

We shouldn’t have signed Tel, especially not as a starter...but we did and that's what he'll be next season. We need several levels above a kid who failed at Bayern, and who got 2 goals (1 pen) + 1 assist in 13 PL games for us last season.

'Absolutely' should be reserved for the likes of Nico Williams, Barcola, Raphinha, Vinicius...

A proper serious club like City or Liverpool wouldn't sign Tel, even for their bench.

I don't get how you can be so real about Levy and yet be so excited about that kid?! 50mil ffs! Had we spent max 20m on him and were paying him 50k a week to ride the bench, I'd say alright...but that's just downright stupid what we done. Sheer incompetence once again.

Kalimuendo honestly no idea but the fact I’ve never heard of him makes him a punt.
We should be going after Lautaro Martinez, Gyokeres, Osimhen, Sesko...even try & bring Kane back. Fuck me, even Mateta or Chris friggin Wood would be more ambitious.

Tel, Kalimuendo and the other dumplings we're about to bring in says one thing and one thing only: we are sooooo fucking small time.

Tel wasn’t our Marquee forward signing.

He’s a great pick up who will score a ton of goals though.

Fantastic physical strengths, elite mentality, technically Very good as well.

Sesko never looked that great to me

We ain't signing another forward unless 2 of Son, Richarlison, Kulusevski, Johnson or Solomon leave in my opinion.

I'm not convinced the links with Mbeumo and Semenyo are that believable.

As for Pisilli, I would rather put the time in Devine and buy an experienced midfielder.

Our squad lacks balance and I don't see much happening until atleast a week into pre season when Frank has actually met the players.

When we don't have a huge amount of cash we can't afford to take gambles that big imo

Poor, poor Tottenham Hotspur 😭😭😭

You'll soon find out he was.

Well he fucking better for that money. But allow me to doubt it considering what he's shown so far in his career.

We obviously don't have the same definition of fantastic, elite or very good.

Sesko never looked that great to me
He's still better than your boy right now. It ain't even close.

I'm actually starting to think the main reason Ange was sacked was because he continuously publicly stated that the transfer strategy was a mistake and that experience was what we needed moving forward.

Think if he just agreed with going with the same strategy he would still be here.
Plenty of experience in the squad last year. A club like Spurs need to blend in youth, too, as they can't afford to buy a whole squad of "experienced" players - unless on buy sub-standard experienced players.
It was also the lack of EPL experience in the coaching staff that caused Spurs' poor league form...

Do what you want

Everyone else does
This place sorta polices itself and doesn’t bother admin with trivial things.

Anyway. I have faith in Tel coming good and forming some nice moves with Odobert. They’ve got chemistry. But they should be backups to a new left and right winger.
I would love to sell Johnson to any club dumb enough to buy him. A Totteham Hotspur right winger who can’t dribble or cross even if he does score tap-ins is plain wrong. But I think we’re stuck with him.
