Mbeumo i could agree but Semenyo is very wasteful in both shooting & crossing/final ball
He is incredibly physical and secure in retaining the ball, which we had nothing of last season. Our wingers were almost as good as giving the ball back to the opposition.
Mbuemo wasn't Mbuemo before Thomas Frank got hold of him, let's remember that.
The two-footedness jumps out when you watch highlight videos.
Odobert is pretty two-footed too, and that gives you a lot of opportunities to swap flanks and leave defenses befuddled at what spaces to cover. Wissa and Mbuemo were great at that under Frank.
Mbeumo was only 6.5M punt not 60M, both are 25 & bryan is superior .... doesnt have key flaws in basic areas shooting & crossing
Yeah the price is the massive difference here but my point still remains, Mbueno was average 2 seasons ago.
Why is semenyo wasteful but Mbreumo isn't tho?
He too has only had the one break out season also like solanke before him
He was just a young player developing, which is what most young players need - time.
Same as the likes of Tel, Odobert, Moore need. You get the odd unicorn like Bergvall who comes in and almost straight away is at it, but most need to grow.
We dont have 2 seasons for him to hopefully get better while spunking 60M on him plus over 100k a week

A big goal spike, yeah, but in general Mbeumo has had more end product throughout recent PL seasons in terms of goals, assists, xG, xA and so forth.
Semenyo is two-footed, more physically robust, and of course, he's cheaper in fee+wage terms.
5 penalty goals for Mbeumo in 24/25, so: 15 (non-P) goals, 7 assists, in 3415 minutes.
0 penalty goals from Semenyo in 24/25: 11 goals, 5 assists, in 3209 minutes.
Mbeumo (non-P goals): 3 right-foot, 12 left-foot
Semenyo goals: 6 right-foot, 5 left-foot.
Both with no headed goals.
