That is highly dependent on the interest rate. It's hardly stupid doing that in order to secure a player that you've identified as being a game changer as well. Say the interest rate was 5%. Over 5 years that would equate to an additional £15M, so Eze would essentially cost £75M for the transfer. Is this over the top for a player of his ability? I don't think so.My point is getting a loan whether it be £60m or £120m to pay up front is stupid considering the fact you need to pay interest on it when you pay it back.
Other things to factor in as well are what value he brings to the team. If he were to elevate us into CL qualification, that money is then dwarfed. It could potentially mean the loan is paid off earlier, thereby reducing the actual fee.
