This guy?!!I don't know looks like he lacks mobility plus U don't want to piss off Danny.

:roseunsure:

Not really that hard to believe. Don’t have to like him but no way in 2025 people still don’t believe O keefe has genuine sources, he’s not one of those random Twitter ITK he’s broken plenty of stories which were later confirmed by Romano etc.
He's got absolutely fuck all right on transfers for about 3 years. All his info is punts on players we're already linked to or vague info that's impossible to verify

From watching Justin Cochrane talking about him, I don't think he's as big a dickhead as many believe. According to JC he works hard, listens to instructions and endeavours to improve himself.

I don't know if many are basing their view on him based on his comments after the EL loss or not, but he was obviously frustrated as he backs himself. Maybe not the right time to say what he said, but he's a youngster, they make mistakes.

End of the day, if our new management team want him and think they can unlock his potential, who are we to argue?
The very fact he seemed to have a very good rapport with Cochrane has to be a plus

I actually think Frank can do a lot with this. What it can't do is compete for Top 4 in the Prem or get out of the CL group stages though.

I think Frank can pilot this to a 6th-9th place finish. We will need better attackers if we seriously want to compete for top 4 or reach the CL knockout rounds.

It’s a fact that he’s broken stories which were later confirmed by Romano. It’s happened multiple times, off the top of my head he was the first to report we were trying to sign vicario, a keeper nobody had even heard of before would be a pretty impressive guess to of called that.

The guy clearly has a source which is all I said, obviously not every player he says we’re interested in we’re going to sign as is the same with any reporter lol

20m fee upfront? Sheesh- greedy AF. Nobody seems to have paid it yet.

Once it's clear none of the giants want him, his stock will drop well into midtable/lower half prem territory. For some reason I feel like we'll see him end up at West Ham or similar.
I would want us to be one of the clubs courting him towards the end of the transfer window once he has to reduce his demands, his stats in the CL don't lie, he's a natural goalscorer and will add elite quality to our front three 100%.

Well, so far the cook supreme has just been throwing any shit at the wall

On Isaksen though, he's had a decent season at Lazio cooling a bit towards the end. His output in terms of goals and assists hasn't been great but he does know how to strike a ball and his right peg is half decent as well. Stylistically he could resemble Mbeumo a bit

So even if his season at club level waned off a bit he had two very good performances for the national team lately. 1-0 home against Portugal and 2-1 home against Northern Ireland. The one against Portugal he was up against Nuno Mendes, so for Isaksen to actually go past Mendes numerous times felt like a defining moment in his career

If there's anything in it, it should be easiest negotiations ever, since we've already got his girlfriend, Olivia Holdt, "locked up in the cellar"

That was 2 years ago mate, he also said Kulusevski was getting painkilling injections to play the Europa League final when less than a day later the club put out a picture of him having had surgery :ange-facepalm:

Should be keeping Cuti and signing Guehi.
Sign Eze and Semenyo, esp if Mbuemo off to Utd.
Get a decent No.6, absolutely essential.
Let Richy, Son and Biss go, only if Son wants out, might still be another yr in him if minutes managed correctly and not playing with chalk on his boots.
Would upgrade Vic too if the opportunity presented itself.
Personally I would let Davies go and sign another left ch / left full back.
That's the bare minimum required, no more excuses of having no money, we can't be brainwashed by Levys economics, if he is stuck for money then sell one of his hotels to himself like Chelsea did with their women's team and car parks, no more excuses.

Liverpool winning last season was a surprise but they won the PL, despite a zero spend.

It is fair to say that now they are backing the manager and looking to the future. That can't be disputed.

Levy does need to back his aspiration with something consistent with unwise words, but we can't spend 115 million pounds on one player. Knowing us if we bought any such player they would get injured in their first match and be out for the season.

People go on like it's chicken/egg, but are inventing a perspective of Liverpool that doesn't exist.
  • They don't have the big wage bill of City, Woolwich, Man Utd, or Man City.
  • They didn't "spend big" to win the league.
  • They didn't give their new manager players for a rebuild last summer, and only added one injury-prone midfielder who barely played
  • They don't buy big established "world class" players, but rather take calculated gambles
  • They got to the end of the season with the contracts of their 3 biggest players running out. One of their best players just left with a token transfer fee, but was effectively about to be out of contract. They've just put two 33 year old players on huge contracts.
All of the above is the reality of Liverpool that would cause utter outrage on here.

We probably could sign a £100m+ player if we won the league or the CL, but there's clearly just nuances separating Liverpool from this club, and it isn't anything to do with ownership - they just have been more successful with their gambles so far.

It is still far from certain whether or not that move will pay off for them - they still don't have a replacement for TAA yet, and have no succession plan for VVD or Salah. There's no obvious sign how Allison/Marmadashvilli will work. A lot of flaws in their strategy so far, in paying so much money in the area that isn't obviously where they needed to.

People will say that they are being clever doing business early, but they're now at the mercy of other clubs for the players they now need to shift (e.g. Nunez)

Untrue. Liverpool are always operating at close to the line of what they can afford. They dont have unlimited money, so they do say no. But they also back their manager and spend what they can afford.

We dont spend what we can afford. We spend what Levy allows. We could easily add another 75m to our wage bill and still be well run.
