Probably a good job considering his two expensive picks were a horrendous waste of money!they didn't want to or wouldn't fork out the amounts of spondoolas required to acquire those that Poch did want to bring in.
To be fair, it really doesn't matter who he supported as a kid. We seem to get hung up on this. That is all true. I didn't realise Eze still had an affection for the goons until yesterday. I thought with his Dad being a big Spurs fan that he'd want to play for us and prove Woolwich were wrong to give up on him.
Oh well I read that situation all wrong....![]()

Looks like he's mastered the detachable thumb trick, so that's good.
Why? Anyway how do we know he’s agreed anything with anyone? Just because some journo/itk prints something doesn’t mean it’s true. In the end if both clubs are serious and willing to pay the RC then it’s up to the player. So the player needs to know what’s on offer from both clubs to make his decision.I'm not sure what I'll make of it if he agrees personal terms with both of us. At least that would really wind up the goons if he ends up there knowing he was also open to joining us.
Surely he has to reject our advances now. Looks terrible on his part if he's agreed personal terms with both North London rivals.
I think you’re right, but that €60m could buy us a top drawer 6 if we sell now.We won't be replacing him anyway. Danso is his replacement and we've 3 young centre backs (Takai, Phillips and Vuskovic) waiting to get an opportunity. So doesn't really matter when we sell him. The club have no intention of buying another centre back.

Defoe was a good fan, but he has enormous affection for Spurs.
Once they go pro, those sort of affiliations go out of the window.
Willian had agreed terms with us and even did a medical, then chose the chavs.
If we are assuming, lets assume we did sort out personal terms ( it was reported last week) but he would prefer the scum. The question is. If Eze really was a target (which I don't believe for a minute as its not the type of business we do, £70m on a 27 year old with presumably a large wage demand)
But putting that aside lets assume for a micro second that we were really in for him.
Why the fuck did we sit on this and not get the personal terms sewn up earlier, meaning that we've allowed another club to steal a march on us??
Why are we so fucking inept?
Madison's tottenham tweets now loves us.We signed Matt Doherty who's a gooner....... He got meme'd; then laughed it off and got on with his job.
Find it difficult to outright object to the signing of EZ (or the scandinavian DM lad with the AFC tattoo) simply on the basis of what club they chose to follow when they we kids. In a perfect world all our signings grew up Lilywhite; but we don't live in that world....

Push us into an early signing
Let's hope it's Eze agent trying to bounce spurs into the purchase. But we shouldn't need bouncing. We need the player we fill the stadium 3 times a month spending the most money as a fanbase the fucking around has to stop. If we loose out our targets to our rivals arguing over marginal calls on costings there will be up roar. If Woolwich are offering Eze 40k a week more he's gonna go and levy "we want to win the league" will look like the hollow shite we believed it too be.

Problem is I think we already have the 60m lying around already but aren't bothered spending it. I honestly see zero benefit to selling Romero. We lose our best player and probably don't replace him. And best case scenario is we go and buy a top CDM with money we already had but the owners were too tight to spend it without selling Romero.I think you’re right, but that €60m could buy us a top drawer 6 if we sell now.
Best player on his day… maybe… but those days don’t occur often enough for me and he clearly wants out, so I’d sell and reinvest in a decent player that wants to be here.Problem is I think we already have the 60m lying around already but aren't bothered spending it. yeh you're right, my bad.Mate?
I'm not trying to cement a point here.... Just putting a little meat on the bone; adding to the discourse......
I even 'liked' your preceding post.
Chill.
