Read we backed off from eze deal. Not sure we dithered over that for a year. Levy said recently he wants us to win the CL and premier league. I like margot robbie and want to win the euromillions jackpot but doesnt mean it will happen. No harm in dreaming but delusion is a different matter.

The Glazers also leveraged the club to actually buy it. In other words they didn’t put a penny of their own money to buy the club they borrowed against the value of the club to buy the club, and put that debt onto the club.
And have subsequently taken huge dividends and salaries from the club ever since.
Fair enough, the Glazers were a bad example to use. The point remains that ours aren’t exactly miles better when they’re only putting in an average of £5m a season of their own money. That probably only covers the wages of 2 Archie Grays.
Around 40% of our revenue is league/european broadcasting rights, at least another 20% comes from the kit deal and other sponsorships which are only somewhat linked to supporter enthusiasm/spending. I guess 10% comes from non-Spurs stadium income.
So probably 25-30% contributed by the supporters - thats still a lot of money. But I do think its not nearly as much as some think.

Well for me it was so that people wouldn’t recognise me anyone after my silly early posts. I used to be called TOMO but after several dumb posts I amended to Tomo so that nobody would ever know that was me.
Seems silly to me that they allow 22yo and 23yos into an U21 tournament. I think England had nine starting players over 21 in the final. Pretty pointless calling it U21.
The thing that's most irritating is how we have never, ever pulled the trigger on a top player.
Liverpool do a similar thing to us where they will buy young talented players with potential but every now and then when they need to, they'll pull the trigger on a Van Dijk, a Diaz, an Allison or a Wirtz.
They have fucked up the occasional big money transfer like we have but they don't shit the bed and revert back to exclusively signing kids with potential and "bargains" like we do.

They have to be U21 at the start of the qualification process. Which is 2 years before the tournament finals.
Pretty flawed system though imo.
Say we bought Kante instead of Chavs and Mane instead of Pool, in that Poch team, we'd win the fucking lot. We were 2 astute £30-40m transfers off winning things with that team and we got Moussa Sissoko. Criminal. Finished above both sides in 15/16 as well.
Spot on, and you also know, it's never going to happen. You can't say "We want to win this or that" without actually taking some measure of steps toward what it takes to "win this or that".
The nonsense that comes from Levy, when he rarely speaks, is the only priceless thing connected with our club.
Revenue earned by broadcasting to fans, advertising to fans and selling shirts to fans being not "contributed by supporters" is a strange and IMO deeply incorrect way to structure your thinking about where the value in football comes from.
That the masses deeply care about the game is the ultimate source of every single penny, almost all of it fairly directly.
Sort of, yeah.
But sports isn't a durable good or even a service in the classical sense, it's the entertainment industry.
The business is the joy of fans, that's where the money comes from.

Yes, but the economic structure is such that the popularity of the sport is what predominately supports the clubs. Not specifically supporters directly supporting their specific clubs. Thats my point.
Yes its entertainment. Not much different than movies, music, tennis, etc. My point being a lot of supporters feel an entitlement they really don't have.
Some clubs, like the Spanish socios, sure - they began, and some nominally remain, public endeavors. Spurs and almost all English clubs have always been privately held entities.
