Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

But to be clear, I’m generally up for signing Kudus but also aware that he’s not a player that makes us a PL and CL winner
As Sean Bean said to Christian Bale in Equilibrium "you are stepping on my dreams"...that's what you're doing with Levy's.

The man genius saw us reach the CL final with Winks & Sissoko, then win the EL with Ange as coach and Brennan as our goal machine. Surely he thinks we can win the PL & CL with a Spam reject.

Not how it works.

There are £60m players and then there are £60m players. Our wages are more limited so the range of players for £60m is less. We are happy to do big transfers just not big wages and elite players generally want elite wages.
We should never ever have splashed 60 on Dombs, Richy or even Big Dom (and I like Solanke).

Yet we learnt the square root of fuck all and are about to make the same mistake AGAIN.

Now imagine what we coulda bought with the 30mil spent on Tel + Kudus' 50 ish...combine their wages too...

But Levy/Lange etc.

I think we broke the British Transfer record for Gazza so nothing like what we have done in recent seasons . Ferguson was outraged if I recall as he felt he had Gazza deal done .

So beating Ferguson to a signing for a British Transfer record is almost the opposite of current behaviour. It’s equivalent to beating City to a player they were desperate for
We beat Bayern to Dragusin, though...

Size of the transfer isn't relevant to player age and experience in the arguments that are being made. People are banging on about age, not talent.

Well if I’m to lazy to right the book I sure as hell ain’t pissing about getting a green card , then applying for citizenship in a decade .

Instead as suggested I will not bother writing a book in the hope of somehow winning the Booker Prize .

Edit : what was your book about
Ha!

My book's a historical tale of intrigue, murder and madness set in the 18th-century court of Philip V, who believed he was a frog.

I mean, who hasn't at one time or another?

All I’m saying was Rice was like step 4 or 5 in their process.

Step one, appoint Arteta and Edu.
Step 2, get rid of high paid underperforming stars.
Step 3, invest in youth.
Step 4, develop youth, get Zinchenko and Jesus in to bolster abs genuinely challenge for the title.
Step 5, acquire Rice to take to the next level.

For the sake of balance, let’s not forget Step 6: still win fuck all

Also re Kudus. There's AFCON from 21 Dec 2025 til 18 Jan 2026.

So yeah defo splash 60ish mil on him. Banging business that.

EDIT: my bad, Ghana didn't even qualify...first time since 2004. Still, fuck that Spam mug.

Unless you are a United States citizen, a permanent resident thereof or consider it to be your long-time primary home you won’t even be considered.

I actually have written a novel, I was most disappointed to find this out as I thought I'd be a shoe-in if I ever manage to get it published.

It's the Booker Prize for us I'm afraid. Oh well, think of it as the Europa League to the Pulitzer's Champions League status.

Was your novel self-published?

Kudus - £60m and likely favourable terms given W Ham’s plight

Semenyo - £70m plus Bournemouth don’t want to sell

Eze -£60/68m plus hefty annual payments

Kudus from a financial perspective makes sense and it should allow us to have more funds to invest elsewhere.

Just out of interest, if anyone can answer this.

Why do internet ITKs like POK tweet out the most uninteresting grasping news about the bowel movements of the kit man, then when someone actually seems to leak something they're like "yeah, old news, heard we bid like 50 bigs ones last week"

So you just kept that to yourself, but totally knew it, oh person who seems so watertight
