I don't think he was deliberately "leaning in to the territory of ‘let’s piss people off'" at all, I think his posts were just genuinely (albeit ludicrously) optimistic. Tbh I actually found it refreshing - utter madness in terms of realism obviously, but actually nice to have someone not shitting on every single move the club makes. You could easily argue (and I would) that his ludicrously 100% positive take is no more insane than the ludicrously "moan about everything and make shit up as if there isn't already enough to moan about" 100% negative take posted by JT and his cult-like followers.
