Agreed. The squad is better than a lot of people think. We came 5th the season before last (and still should have finished top 4 despite lots of injuries to key players). And then made some quality additions in the last 12 months to the squad that finished 5th.

With a manager who can play to our strengths, improve players and be tactically astute / flexible we should be looking at a top 6 finish *before* any further signings. Signing a couple of players who will improve our first team (DCM, WF), and getting more reliable cover for Solanke and VdV/Udogie, and we can be a major force next season.

But this would be a proper ambitious move. We'd have 2 very good left backs who could rotate regularly and would both be competing with eachother to start the big games. This move would be a gamechanger! It would be a huge step for a club like Spurs who have always left themselves short going into a season where 3 or 4 injuries combined can usually destroy our season.

To be honest, I'd have Udogie play LW, he's not good enough defensively but his pace can be useful further forward. Needs to work on his end product, though.

Udogie can be great, but can also be average. I’d put Robinson way ahead of him right now.

Don’t sign backups. Sign first teamers that turn the old first teamer into the backup.
 
My Spammer mate reckons they have a fairly decent ITK source on his forum

He claims we have bid for kudos and talks on going , which is not really different from media reports if I’m honest . Not sure who would be the best source for West Ham rumours now KUMB or Only Fans

As I said, Boehly is not a lifelong Chelsea fan as Sir Jack Walker was for Blackburn. He is not plowing his personal money into Chelsea at a loss to achieve something. It is an investment which requires returns.

It might not be top 4 standard now, but IMO it's comfortable on par with the top 6/7.

The 17th place finish is gift-wrapped for Frank, as it means a top 8 finish (normally a disaster) is going to look like a clear improvement. The fact that Ange has convinced everyone that the squad is crap means it's a free hit as we're not going to sign enough players to convince the same people otherwise.

I'd still put it down as one of the best squads we've had in the PL era. Not prime DESK, but it is hardly Clemence, Fox, Rebrov and Dominguez

I've got no doubt at all that we're in talks. I reckon we've probably agreed personal terms with the player too.

I also think chelsea will gazump us when we fuck about too long.
