On his Premier League statistics he's got a 12% completion rating for crosses over all seasons. I don't know how that compares to other fullbacks in the league.

as things currently stand i think we're considerably weaker than:

Liverpool
City
Arse
Chelsea

so we're looking at a 3 way battle with Newcastle and Villa for 5th. while trying to be competitive in cups. Frank can kiss goodbye to that hairline tbh:frankwtf:

He's been keeping Brentford up on the lowest budget in the league whilst losing their best players regularly for several years now

I'm sure his cortisol levels will be just fine

heh!
keeping a tiny club like Brentford in the league against all expectations to managing Tottenham hotspur, with elite expectations from the owner to the fans were a home defeat to any club outside of the other big 6 is a bit of a hate crime...well it's just an absolutely different dimension of stress.

He’s always going to favour coming in field as he’s really quite one footed. I’m not convinced that players change that much fundamentally and especially at 24. He’s always going to hold onto the ball too long, he’s always going to try do too much and shoot from silly angles, I don’t see him improving his vision or football IQ.

The attitude and work ethic would be enough of a red flag but a lot of West Ham fans don’t rate him on the ball either. He’d be a really stupid signing

If Eze can improve from the player the he was from the age from 24 with the right coaching and direction then I see no reason why Kudus can't.

We all remember what Eze was like 3 years ago, a much less refined version of the player he is now beside I don't think it requires that much instruction to get players to play with their heads up... Another example look at the progress of Mbuemo from the player he was to the player he is now.

5th should be no problem then
Problem is the other 7 clubs in this new "Big 8" all feel the same. We are probably regarded as the 8th best team in tle league going into next season. United with no European football will be expected to finish above us. So will Newcastle, Villa and Chelsea.

Personally I'd find 8th an underwhelming and disappointing finish. Usually 1 or 2 top teams blow out so if we show any consistency then we should be able to finish at least 6th. But as of now, all betting websites have us down as the 8th team behind Villa and United. I think most if us would take 5th if we were offered it!

5th is the minimum imo. Unless we go deep/win a trophy

That would of course be great, but he was supposed to be perfect for Ange as well.

He was the perfect pressing striker but the team wasn't setup to get the most out of him.

Touchline wingers who weren't very good at giving service, a 10 who would find himself far away from the striker and full backs playing in field and not firing in crosses.

Solanke scored the 2nd most amount of headed goals for Bournemouth in the season before and no one really put many crossed into him, the guy was playing on a island at times by himself.

Agree but even Ange managed 5th with a worse squad and he was hopeless .

Also, let’s face it, without the late season collapse it should have been 4th.

Frank is a competent coach with a better squad.

Could easily say without a honeymoon start it would have been 7th, we were a few points way from the teams below us as well...

Ange had no Europe and went out of domestic cups early, and a very good start pinned us up in the top 5 the entire season. Newcastle have a better team IMO - I prefer their core by far to ours - and will probably sign some players still. Villa I think are jumpable given PSR issues if we get our finger out.

Could say many things but 5th was the outcome.

If we don’t have a deep europe/cup run, then 5th is a reasonable expectation

Paratici has been out of jail for 72 hours. Unleashed I'd expect deals to start materialising by Monday. Juve, Roma, they will start shedding fat.

Has he improved that much, he’s still fundamentally the same player. Classy on the ball, could beat a player but always played with his head up and knew when to release it, goes missing sometimes, switches off of f the ball occasionally. He was like that at QPR. Palace as a team have improved, so hes going to get more scrutiny and eyes on him. But his game really hasn’t changed. Maybe just getting more authority.

As for Mbeumo again has his game changed that much? He’s always been a strong powerful player on transitions, with Toney leaving and them playing a false 9 he’s getting into more goal scoring positions and even then hes outperformed his expected goals. I doubt he’s going to be able to repeat that with a different club. Good player though and has been since he’s been in the league.
