Paratici has been out of jail for 72 hours. Unleashed I'd expect deals to start materialising by Monday. Juve, Roma, they will start shedding fat.
Like that plan, let’s by the fat of crap teams

By the way my real name is Daniel Levy

Just had a look at Jarrod Bowen's stats since he joined West Ham. He's been described on here as "elite" and the sort of player we should be throwing silly money at. They're interesting.

His first full season saw 8 goals, 5 assists.
His second season saw 12 and 10.
Then his third season saw a drop of to 6 and 5.
The last 2 seasons 16 & 6 then 13 & 8, which are good but £80M+ good? Pretty comparable with Johnson, who a large proportion on here give dogs abuse.

Like I said, the judgement of fans is very questionable.

Oh I'm not arguing against that, but I trust any fan's judgement about as far as I can throw said fan.

I really know little about the kid, but I've seen far too many young players written off by far too many fans, after a run of poor form, for years now. We'll have to wait and see what he actually does get sold for, or if he's even sold then, if we do buy him, wait and see how he performs before judging whether the price paid was good or not.

I highly doubt he'll go for anywhere near £70M though, whether it's us or not.

I think he'd probably do quite well - he's a lot better than Brennan Johnson and better than Kulu, Tel etc.

But if that's the big signing the club can fuck off. And you know it will be.

I got ripped apart for making the same analogy.

Nobody has an issue with Johnson's productivity - he does nothing outside of it. Bowen bends it in from 20-25 yards regularly and scores a wide range of goals. He also takes on his man and he is about twice as creative. He also gets stuck in which is something fans moan about ... and he does it all in an absolutely garbage team which he has to carry whereas Brennan is waiting at the back stick.

16 goals 6 assists and 13 goals 8 assists back to back for THAT West Ham team is very good going given everything else he does in the team.

Ange had no Europe in season 1. Frank will have 8 games against tough opposition in the Champions League and will not be able to rotate like Ange did in the EL last season.

Already a much tougher prospect w.r.t. league than Ange faced in his first two seasons.
Huh! That's strange. I've been told repeatedly on here, that Tottemham Hotspur are a big club, and playing lots of European and cup games shouldn't impact our League form.

I suppose that must only apply to fat Aussie frauds then.

It’s not like he plays up front, and he plays for West Ham. To make it out like he’s shit is just wrong, he might not be elite but he’s better than Johnson.

Because if you watched both players for 5 games each you'd realise that just comparing G+A is flawed and one player is just much better than the other..

Bowen is a top level PL player - he's a proper winger in every sense of the word. He scores, he assists, he beats his man, he works hard and supports his fullback and he is a threat from distance. He absolutely carried them on his back last season in a way you would never, ever, EVER get from Brennan Johnson. He'd be waiting for Wan Bissaka to put in on a plate for him.

Bowen will be 29 in December. Brennan is 25 next May.

Time is on Brennan's side.

Do you think Brennan will improve?

One thing is playing Elfsborg (where 3 academy players can win you the game), Qarabag, Ferencvaros etc.

Another is playing 5-6 good sides that will beat our rotated team. Frank will not have the luxury of rotating and getting out of the group.

False equivalence young Walter.

I rate Johnson more than some here, but he absolutely does not dictate the game and drive the attack the way Bowen does.

He's Mr. Everything for the Spammers, they'd be getting ready for away days in Wrexham without him
I like Bowen but he is approaching 30 and West Ham would not sell him to Spurs in my opinion.

He should never have been dropped by England in my further opinion.

Really tried and did well every time he was given a chance.
