Yep it's all very well say Dom is more than just a 9 ... Blah de bloody dah! But he won't be remembered for his work rate, he'll be remembered for his goals and the reason he cost a large chunk of cash, was not cos of his work rate but cos he was banging GOALS IN LEFT RIGHT AND CENTER ...and in him ATM I'm struggling to see anywhere near 20 goal a season striker..AND the big worry he just doesn't seem to create chances .. Whereas when richis on the park as a 9.. I see a striker that's gonna be a menace and just feel he's gonna create and score. He may have his issues but when he plays he's a handful, gives center bacs a bloody hard time.. I tell ya coming through the ranks in Brazil Is not for the feint hearted they are tuf mother fuckers... NO CB will enjoy his afternoon when he's @ 9.. whereas Dom
..well I don't see the same aggression or hunger.. but hey.. I bloody sincerely hope Dom proves me wrong..

Richarlison ain't going to be the answer. He can't stay fit and looks done after 60 minutes, but other than that, agree 100%.

To pay 60million (Solanke) and talk of ablole's pressing capacity is weird. He needs a lot more goals, however they come about.

Elanga to Newcastle. Gordon - Isak - Elanga is a handful.

Madueke and Eze to Woolwich.

Levy won't buy Eze, he is 27 has no resale value after 3 years. But Levy is not clever enough to note with Eze we can get CL spot for the next 3 seasons worth much more than £60m. #Levy#thick

Above applies to any player and Levy's thinking.

Do you think we spent £65m on him for what he did when he was 21?
No, I think it was for his one good season in the Premier League which was the season before the club signed him.

Darren Bent = 278 appearances, 106 goals. including when he was just 18 years old, much better stats than Solanke. He was often a substitute in his time at the club because of better players, Keane and Berbatov.

And now a lesser player Solanke with his 9 goal average is the main man.

If Elanga is 55m, 60m for Kudus isn’t extortionate.

But tbh, it feels like Levy is happy to drag it out until Chelsea can shift Madueke and hijack it.

He knows that giving Kudus 150k pw will result in Johnson, and Solanke knocking on his door for comparable money and he can wait until Chelsea give him a good excuse for the deal failing, then go get Dibling and give him 60k pw.

I have no doubt that we intentionally do shit like this

Drag deals out with the hope that we get gazumped and can turn around and say "we tried" and then move for the cheaper option or sign no one at all

Frank is going to need to be a miracle worker next season trying to turn a fair few sow's ears (Solanke, Kulusevski, Tel, Odobert, Johnson, Maddison) into silk purses, whilst developing our youngsters, the likes of Gray, Moore, Bergvall etc.

Don't get me wrong, all fairly good players but are they good enough? Let me put it another way.... How many of the bracketed players would get into the starting 11 of City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Woolwich, Newcastle? Not many, if any is my answer.
It saddens me to say, but we currently have a mid-table starting 11 imo.
I was saying that we have sufficient cover on the left, and need a predominantly right sided player such as Kudos.
Odobert, Son, Moore, Tel and you want to add Eze.

Thank fuck Frank is managing the team and not you.

Wanna bring Werner back on loan?
That right there is the reason why we can't have enough good players ..

One opinion is that Tel & Odobert are "sow's ears", and Moore is still a kid....

The next opinion is that we're fully stacked in that department and don't need Eze!

Eze is clearly a player who is not just an upgrade, but is the sort of quality you should WANT to overload the team with...

Imagine not wanting to have as many excellent players in every department as possible?!

Record breaking excuses

This summer has disaster written all over it.

A couple of late punts where we overspend on transfer fees for 90-100k pw players. Then Romero sold at the end of the window.

The usual streaks will defend the “net spend” and I’ll end up defending the players all season when they are inevitably not the level yet (or ever) and most likely hideously inconsistent.

We literally bought Solanke at the same age and same price, so your argument makes no sense. Maybe Eze’s wages would have been higher, but I doubt that would have been an issue.

Eze was obviously keeping his options open and hoping for Woolwich. That’s the simple truth of it. He always wanted to go there.

Stop panicking everyone , Daniel said he wants to win the CL and PL . After finishing 17th and with a new manager to not heavily invest in high quality experienced players , well in my opinion that would make him a lying sack of shit .

The defence force must have good inside reliable info on big signings , because they would be absolute mugs to fight the good fight otherwise .

I thought Funtime Friday and Levytime if people remember those phrases were just bullshit . However I have come to realise over 25 years Daniel has been building for this very moment . So grab a beer sit back and enjoy the Woolwich and Chavski meltdown as they realise we have blown them out of the water .

Times are changing folks ,I fully expect us to rise up to 16th this season . In Daniel we trust

Solanke is on 88k pw without bonuses.

Eze will get 200k pw from the gooners. We’ve only ever paid Kane 200k pw and he’s the best striker we’ve had in the PL era.

We aren’t interested in Eze for the same reason the links to Simons aren’t believable. Wages.

Newcastle would pay those wages but can’t attract players as easily as we could. We just won’t pay the wages to get talent like that.

I’ll be honest, I’ve always defended Solanke but the fact that he accepted those wages means he clearly doesn’t think much of himself, so I’m starting to wonder why I should think that much of him.

You're not really making a point here
