Thomas Frank says

I should have listened to all the previous managers , other clubs CEO’s and ex players . When I reflect on my first two weeks I really can’t believe I bought into the bullshit I was fed.

In my opinion if he isn’t thinking like the above now he will be pretty soon

We were never going to spend like other clubs..so my expectation been minimal on transfer front -so I can I will be ok with it... Ofcourse I want us to get that no6 (which has been said as priority) and sell Bissouma.

Otherwise, if Romero, Son stays and we get a no6 and main group stays , I am good...

Just call us Bet 365 Punt FC

Keep playing squad Acca Mr Levy, no doubt another Kane will come through the academy and you’ll find another Dele for 5m. We’ll be back in the CL Final in no time

Thomas Frank is said to be happy with the squad he’s seen in training and doesn’t feel wholesale changes will be required.

We do have a massive squad in terms of numbers, and Frank might be the type of manager to be happy with the level of players he has at his disposal here after managing Brentford for so long. He is a coach who believes he can improve any player so yeah I wouldn't be surprised if he says he is happy with the squad just as it is

Well, we did finish 17th last season.

Liverpool win the league but are spending big looking to further improve their squad, we were absolutely dog shit but as of yet have brought in no new additions (buying players previously on loan doesn't count).

Buying players previously on loan does, in fact, count, because they weren't 'our' players.

Nice try though. Please don't reply trying to argue with facts, it'll just be a waste of everyone's time and will be ignored.

We obviously still need to do a LOT more business though - I'm not arguing that point at all.

Regardless if we don’t buy a 6 and a wing forward to supplement the squad then we’re in for a bad season

When we do miss out on Kudus and decide to buy some young forward from another league who nobody ever heard of before, it'll be interesting to see if Frank behaves like Ange did and pretends he was on board with it.

The prime example from last year was Ange demanding a 1v1 specialist with Pedro Neto being the main target. Very similar to the Kudus situation now where Neto was open to coming and his wages demands were quite reasonable (150K) but Spurs were trying to do the deal for 45m. Wolves consistently asked for 55m. Chelsea came in out of nowhere and paid the Wolves asking price and offered Neto 160k a week. We then went and signed Odobert for around 20m and he's on 25k a week salary. Ange went into a press conferance and pretending Odobert was the player he wanted all along even though the dogs on the street new it was a club signing and they didn't back him with a first team player! He towed the line for Levy.

If/When we miss out on Kudus for a cheaper and younger alternative. Lets see how Frank behaves!
Generally i agree with your comment except one thing. In alternate world: the moment we agree to pay Wolves asking price for Neto - Chelsea comes in and pays even more and hijacks IT anyway. Mendes was in contact with Chelsea during whole process to keep them updated

I don't think Frank cares that much tbh.......moving to Spurs from Brentford is a huge step up, a new challenge, European football, at his age it's probably his last chance to take an opportunity like this.

He is smart, even if Levy made outlandish promises I think Frank would have dismissed them and seen the reality based on the previous experiences of ex managers like you say.

I’m not against Son seeing out his contract as I would expect him to be played to his strengths under Frank as opposed to flogged like a dead horse under Ange. It would however likely put an end to bring in a new wide left forward this summer. On the plus side it should mean more funds to secure a LB, CM, RFWD, Striker. Plus a CB should Romero leave.

Even with 4 additions I still feel we would lack quality in central midfield and attack, especially with the step up against Champions League opposition. Take say Kudus or similar out and we’re back to the average players we had last season. Not that it will happen but I would still be pursuing Eze or Simons.
