State of this club.

Frank will need to turn this player into something special.

I thought signing Solanke was expecting something more than many felt he could produce I said when we bought Bissouma that the transition from Brighton to Tottenhan was not guaranteed, but this does zero for me. Maybe I'm the only dissenter, in which case I concede I must/might be wrong.

Fcuk sake.

Who's to say how Frank will influence Solanke, Bissouma or any of our players?

Finishing 17th didn't cover any player in glory, saved by the EL win against a piss poor United side.

Let's give Frank until the end of the pre-season until we see how he will set the side up to play.

Somewhere in the archives he did state that Bissouma was a great player, so he must see something in him. As for Solanke, when did he ever start with the same wingers and when did he fail to put a shift in?

Must have been a disheartening season for him, save the EL final.

TBR reporting that Juve have offered us Vlahovich for £13 mil. I don’t want him but Levy is smelling a bargain. Hopefully Frank tells Dan to not even think about it.
Vlahovic doesn't represent a bargain to Levy even for £13m, he's reportedly on £320k/week at Juve meaning even if he would take a 1/3rd pay cut to join us (he probably won't) he would break our current wage structure.

I think we're far more likely to keep Richy than buy Vlahovic and tbh I wouldn't even mind, don't think Vlahovic is even particularly a better player, albeit less fitness issues.

Showing how it's done?

Remind me, who won a trophy last season?

Woolwich are shite

Deluded mate.

They are miles ahead of us. Yes we won the Europa, big fucking deal. What matters to me anyway, is seeing Spurs be a serious team challenging at the top of the table, that should bring major trophies with it.

As I said earlier in the summer, yes we won a trophy, but Woolwich fans have been far happier than us the last few seasons and have enjoyed watching their team every week. I bet they will be far happier the next few years too, whilst our trophy win fades into history.

We can celebrate Lisbon as much as we want, but I want to see my team win regularly, not just stinking the place out every week. It's not enough or enjoyable consistently.

Woolwich are strengthening massively from a place of strength. WTF are we doing? We finish 17th and Kudus is going to be our main signing? and that's even if we get that over the line.

It's bullshit.

How many months have they taken to sign Zubimendi?

What did they do in January when they needed a striker?

What are you on about? Zubimendi didn't take months. They agreed a deal with him in January but they had to wait for the summer to complete it, due to his release clause. What did you expect? they' sign him in March or something? top signing by the way. He's class.

Was that supposed to be a slight on Woolwich? They didn't do anything in January, but they finished 2nd. Where did we finish?

He really isn’t, 2 goals and zero assists in 36 Prem appearances - Tel outdid in 13 Prem games and people were aghast at paying £35m for him

The season before (under Moyes) he netted 14 in 45, a good return.

Under Potter he was played more reservedly.

He can score, in 2023 he netted 18 in 45 for Ajax.

If it's true that we have made a bid for him then Frank must see him as being important to the team and that he can give competition to Johnson and Kulu, and be played in a rotation.

I think we will go to sixty million for him, and when you see what players are being sold this season is about right for that position.

Have you ever seen Gyokeres play football? He is absolutely nothing like Lukaku.

He can run the channels, dribble in tight spaces, be a target man but most importantly he's got the will to win where he can raise his game to force a moment to win a game when the team isn't playing well which he has done at Sporting multiple times. From all the strikers that were available Gyokeres is without doubt the best.

The idea that Europe's top scorer won't do well as a 9 in their team when midfielders like Merino and Havertz have been putting up numbers for them is absurd.

I have.

He uses his physicality in league with no physicality. He struggles against any defenders who can match him physically and his touch is average at best. He doesn't have the technique to get shots off in tight spaces either. I think, like Lukaku, he'd do well on a less physical league but will get swallowed up in the Prem.

Lighten up. It’s sarcasm.

I know there’s a bunch of posters here who jerk off to other club’s business. I assure you I’m not one of them.
I don't think anyone is jerking off over other clubs business. Just highlighting how other clubs business is exposing the shameful, unambitious racket holding our own football club to ransom.

Of course, some folk prefer to just bury their heads in the sand a pretend everything is ok and don't like it being pointed out. Each to their own I suppose 🤷‍♂️

It's not the player, it's the ambition.

Any signing can flop. He could well be spectacular also. Who knows.

The thing is, they are backing him with as good a quality as they can buy.

We on the other hand, don't. At all.

That is the issue.

Kudus might be smarter than the average player. Gone to Chavs for more wages but stuck on the bench with a thousand players. Clearly wants to actually play and contribute while also playing CL football. RW is a maximiser position as we only have Johnson who is 100% suited to the role and Kudus is a totally different style of footballer to Johnson.

The other position is DM. We need to get a proper good one. Beyond that a back up LB and if Romero leaves a LCB to cover VDV, no point replacing RCB as we have Danso, Vuskovic, Dragusin.

Consistency will determine if Kudus is a good signing or not.

Profile wise. He checks all the boxes. Answer a lot of our attacking questions.

I disagree mate I think he’s class but maybe Woolwich doesn’t suit him. They take an eternity to get the ball in the box.
And he takes an eternity to get shots off in tight spaces.

I could see him working for a counter attack team maybe. He is a powerful runner in the channels but for a team that dominates the ball and faces a load of deep blocks, there is a high risk of Lukaku pt 2 in him moving there. IMO of course. And I'm wrong all the time.

With extensive research of 8 second clips on X and unbiased memories of YT videos watched months ago, I can confirm that Zoobamendy and Gockerez are rubbish overpriced overhyped chancers not physical enough for the PL, whilst Mohammed Kudus is the missing piece to Frank's master plan and is set to turn the league alight.

Unless he joins Chelsea, in which case he's a money grabbing ill-tempered underperforming shite bag.

"Spurs want to accelerate"

If we can ship out Richarlison, Bissouma and Gil and replace them Vhalovic, Douglas Luiz and Kudus I’d say it’s a decent start to the window.

Would still want 2-3 more in though.

(There’s been no links to Vhalovic, but Juve want rid and he’d be decent as a squad player)

His wages probably as big as a small country's GDP, hence his loan to Galatasaray last seasson
