Game changer.

Our negotiating position for kudus is bolstered by the knowledge that our budget isn't what it was
Seems like Eze to Woolwich isn’t a stick on going by what Ornstein’s saying. With the Gyokeres deal, they’ll need to get money in for players before they can go spending another £60m+ on Eze.

Should we take advantage of the uncertainty and make a move now before they can commit to it?

Should we? Yes? Can we? Yes

Will we?

No

:mourcry:

We couldn't take advantage of being 5 love-up in the final set, and about to serve for the match.

We are going backwards by standing still.

It's a 2 out of 10 window thus far.

You are right, let’s sell Romero and rely on those CBs to win us the PL and CL

Franks system is so much better he can replace a world class cb and functioning medical team with his adaptable tactics. That’s how much difference tactics can make

Romero isn't a world class CB. I don't know what games people have been watching if they think he's been consistent or world class for the past 2 seasons.

He's a world-cup winning CB that can be world class for the occasional game where he's not thinking about his next international cap. The rest of the time he's a Goon that is a passable 7/10

We won't rely on having Jesus Christ as hamstring savant when the players aren't sprinting for recoveries for 100 mins each game

I still think he's got something and the loans have fucking wrecked his development tbh. Curious if permanent option is part of the loan deal?

Was really impressed with his movement off the ball. Was a punt after the U20 World Cup, but has the club done him right really?

We'll be getting loan fees out of him, so it's a case of whether he's a glorified footballer-for-hire or if we're losing out on him.

Depends what games you focus on. When his head is screwed on (Argentina) or certain Spurs games (Europa League knock out games where he ended up player of the tournement) then yes he is world class. He is one of the best in the world on a going day! That is fact.

But I agree with what your saying. His consistency has been shocking for us. Was brutal at the start of last season and he tends to miss close to 50% of games a season. I still think you have to try and keep these players and get them onside! He just needs the right environment.

In his defence, he is way too good for us. Must drive him mad playing to get top 4 when really he should be competing for the PL and CL but the players around him are nowhere near his level. He shouldn't let all that effect his attitude and performances so thats where he goes wrong, but when he smelt that Europa League trophy he turned into Maldini for those last few games and in the final!

That's nice mate.

You are wrong, but it was nicely typed. Well done.

He's had an absolutely shite season at Juve, played less than 900 mins in all comps for them, and got 4 years to run on an £180k/week deal, doubtful over that being an easy deal to do as Juve will want a good amount of what they paid back for him as well as the player wanting a contract that matches or betters what he's already guaranteed at Juve. They will want like £25-30m on top of Biss for Luiz since Biss is out of contract next summer as well.
Press reports (not worth much) stating Juve want 25 mil for him which is about what Levy would want for Bis. Wages, on the other hand, are a problem. I don’t care much as I’d prefer others.

Nah your wrong there bro. The fact Juve no longer rate him but are paying him 180k a week means they'll be happy to write off a loss just to get him off their books. 180k a week is alot for Juve and it'll be alot for us too so the transfer fee will be quiet low.

Nah , Maddison pretty much dragged us to the semi's
It was going to take some mentality for us to get over the line in the final.

The way Romero marched the team past the United team over to the Spurs fans pre-KO showed balls. He didn't care that they lost the toss and we were told by the referee to go the other way. People might not appreciate them small things but I think that was mentally huge. We were there to win and nobody was going to get in our way.

I think its mental that some of our own fans watched us win the Europa League and still don't rate Romero!

He won us that tournament on his own!

You're mistaking "don't rate Romero" for those who rate him, but don't see that version of him very often.

I think it's more mental that you are lumping all credit for the EL on Romero and, by extension, excluding Micky out of it. His clearance and the saves from Vic were a bigger difference

I'd say the shift Richarlison put in during the first half stood out more than anything Romero did.
