Obv huge but compared to say Sancho on 300K it’s good value!

Guarantees 20 goals. Our wage bill ration would still be lowest in the league

It's not sustainable

When it comes to renewal time it will cause a domino effect, happens all the time with clubs that pay a single player a massive wage - everyone would just want a piece of the pie...see Konate at Liverpool.

I know I thought that too, everybody seems so focused on the need for opposite-footed wingers to cut inside, does that mean Johnson plays on the left now?

Is Tel a LW or a CF? Are Sonny and Richy LW, CF, or out the door?

Are Kulusevski and Odobert (and I guess Kudus) wingers or #10's?

How is Frank going to set us up? Is it going to change week-to-week?

It's hard to know the answers to any of these questions!

Slip Frank a tenner and he might reveal all.

Wissa is fine but I want that sweet sweet number 6 dopamine

Stiller would be amazing, Agoume young but talented, Douglas Luiz, go big for Baleba or Wharton?

loads of options out there.

That 23 year old #6 at Fluminense, Martinelli is interesting and the German Rocco Reiz. I'm sure there are quite a few 6es out there that we never heard of that is good enough.

Prof: from COYS

Another one getting closer …. (after Kudus)

Also working on acquiring another younger player.

Where does the Kudus signing leave Johnson? I dont rate him but he was our top scorer last year.
Yeah, it's a head scratcher. By all accounts Thomas Frank is a Johnson admirer, but I can't see Kudus signing just to be a back-up, and according to Spam fans his preferred position is on the right. In fact, I've heard some of them say the reason he had such an indifferent season last year was that Bowen often played where he wanted to.

I like Johnson, but he's a one dimensional player. He's very effective at what he's good at (i.e. scoring goals and getting in position to score), but he doesn't offer a great deal else.

Unfortunately from what I've seen of him neither does Kudus. Combine both of their best qualities and you might have a very fine player, but seperately they seem a little underwhelming.

The window is not looking too shabby now is it? Not all the players are back for pre-season and we have made some fairly decent signings:

IN:
Kudus - £55m
Tel - £30m
Danso - £21m
Vušković - £12m
Takai - £5m

OUT:
Højbjerg - £17m
Reguilon - Released
Forster - Released
Whiteman - Released
Werner - End of Loan

I know some will scoff at some of those 'ins' as we already had Tel and Danso on loan since January. But the fact is they were not made permanent until 1st July and we only start paying for them now, so still come out of the kitty this summer (and the next 4 years - 20% per year - after this summer).

I do expect some outgoings (sales or loans) from our attacking players. Will also be interesting to see if Frank plans to convert either Johnson or Tel to a central ST.

Son / Tel / Odobert / Moore / Gil --- Solanke / Richarlison --- Kudus / Johnson / Kulusevski / Solomon

It would be nice if Tel and Vuskovic had breakthrough years.

I think we need a striker and midfielder now. Wissa would be about as good as we could hope for. But I dont see it. Wissa is older than our usual buys and we have Solanke and Kudus and Tel can probably fill in on the cheap.
