I think that we've got a good squad with some excellent young players who were set up to fail under Ange due to naive tactics. We became very predictable and easy to play against. That, along with injuries, heads dropping, players giving up and banking on a Europa League run was why we finished 17th.
With the right manager I think Top 4 is definitely achievable. Hopefully we continue to improve our starting XI this summer and those odds will go up.

True but the way they are now used is different. Before the obsession with high press and ball retention DM’s sat in front of the back four and their main job was protection. Now the best defensive midfielder often does the 8 role like Rice and Kante. While the 6 role is now often a playmaker from deep enabling a team to keep ball or press high. Almost like the 8 and 6 switched.
Dunno really it's hard to pin point what will happen with us next season, there's an abundance of factors to take into account, also the TW isn't closed yet for everyone so there are still players coming in and going out to really make a prediction.
I do expect us to improve massively, I expect our players to go up a level and actually compete and stay in matches though, we can be sure of that.
