So much hype for Baleba. Same was there was for Caidedo. Brighton are essentially rebranding the same crack to keep the addicts interested and bigger clubs can’t help themselves.

Baleba was rubbish his first season and a decent MOTD player in his second but Baleba was nowhere near the player Caicedo was in his last Brighton season. Tbh I think Bissouma at Brighton was better than Baleba last year.
I got drawn into the Baleba bubble earlier today. In his "highlights" he headed a ball clear at a corner.
Like Bissouma, never noticed him when he played against us.

Baldcunt is so fucking tight he couldn't even try and mask it by going a couple of mil over the top. haha

He just rocked up to forest and scumbagged them to their face - "yeah, I know the price... now what, bitch!... Prove it! lol

Fat Vultan deserves the disrespect though tbf.

Big fat hairy baby.

I've heard it all now...... Not even triggering the release clause is enough now.... Our fans complain that we don't pay even more.

:wall:

Keeping the rumours alive gives great comfort to those who covet them.

This despite the fact Eze who we've been linked with for at least the last 4 windows has not received one enquiry for whole of the last calendar year.

As for Wharton other than the reported interest in him as a Blackburn player when we didn't think he was worth the £18m + add ons I doubt very much we'd fork anywhere near the rumoured £80m doing the rounds. Not to (too late I already did) mention the fact he has 4-5 years left on his contract and Parrish 's price tag for him is probably in the region of 'not for sale.'

Who said that?

The likes of Eze, Olise & Wharton all went to CP despite big reputations because - rightfully for their development - they opted for game-time.

........Same reason Bowen went to WH.

Buy a young African DM with decent stats /data backing him then trust him enough to play and develop him .
Bigger clubs just aren't willing to play kids and have them learn the league.

Quite.

"Do what Brighton do" is all well and good... Except our fans (in some respects, understandably) don't want what that actually entails.

TBH..... I'm just pre-occupied with getting MGW ironed out and through the door.

........Great signing and one that I not for a second thought likely.

And every player we keep that Brighton would have sold becomes a position on the pitch that we are not cycling through new scouting possibilities.

Sometimes that means getting to retain a Moises Caicedo, but sometimes that also means retaining Yves Bissouma and therefore never buying Moises Caicedo.

It's just different ends of the spectrum, all different flavors of the same "model": to maximize every penny toward success on the pitch.

Honestly, I’d be happy with selling some deadwood and getting Kudus, MGW and some left-sided defensive cover.

I want to see the coaching team improve our young players and for us to play in a tactically smart way. We’ll see huge improvement just with that.

The young players in our squad with high ceilings are unbelievable.

20 or under: Moore, Vuskovic, Bergvall, Gray, Yang, Takai, Odobert, Tel

If half those players make significant growth this year then we’ll have four exceptional talents on our hands.

I think we forget that Udogie and Sarr are still only 22. Kinsky too.

Dragusin, Johnson, Spence, Kudus and Van de Ven are 23/24 and have a lot more growth in them.

So much talent that has a lot more growth in them with some proper coaching and sensible tactics.

Fucking exciting even without the transfer window.

Well that and finishing 8th looks a massive deal more flattering for Brighton that it does for us.

Not 100% sure they have anyone that amazing left there (possibly Mitoma but not as eye catching as he was a season or two back)

MGW & Kudus done this early buys us the luxury of 6 more weeks to iron out the rest of the ins and outs..... Including any tweaks Frank decides he wants to make to our defensive and MF personnel.

Come on Levy; bitch-slap the Greek Gangster and let us breathe a sigh of relief.

There isn’t. Wharton is going to be incredibly special.

Ofcourse there are so many.... For 70m or 80m that Wharton would cost , you get quality DM & CM.
Zaire Emery, Palacios, Camavinga, Pablo Barrios (85m), Baleba.

Just taking Exequiel Palacios....

Role: Balanced CM / deep-lying playmaker .Excellent system midfielder, combines control and tempo like Wharton.
Strengths: Great positioning, plays in a system requiring constant ball rotation.
Key stats: 89% passing completion, 4.0 progressive passes per 90.

We could get better than him for that money. Stiller is better at that cost point imho.
