Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I agree with you, but it's worth noting the usual suspects refused to acknowledge Vuskovic (for the last 18months) before he was allowed to play for us.
I genuinely don't really understand what Vuskovic's status was last year.

Hajduk Split player (who is the club that got our money), on loan to Westerlo (did they get any money? Who paid a loan fee to who?), committed to join Spurs in Summer 2025 because he's too young to leave the EU, but old enough to commit his future outside the EU?

Could he have backed out of the deal this summer if he'd wanted to? Could we have? Did he commit to contract terms 18 months ago?

But he's ours now baby!

By rights he ought to be considered 'new'; but to do so will only result in tears and whining.
I tend to regard someone as a new signing when they make their debut, even if that's a pre-season friendly.

Maybe photographed in the shirt, with a squad number and stuff like that.

So Danso and Tel aren't for me but Vuskovic is.

Something like that anyway.

TF fielded the questions about Son and Romero quite well, but there was no unequivocal answer to the question of will either Son and Romero (or both) still be at the club next season

The most frustrating thing with Richarlison is he's absolutely perfect for what we need but only available 30 percent of the time if that.

My one hope if he stays is that this is probably his last chance at making the world cup squad for Brazil at the end of this season, wonder how much the cliche 'South American National team call' will power him through a few of the niggles he might not have previously.

I thought he handled his first Spurs prezzer well.

Couple of stupid questions asked, but he put those to bed quite well.

Listening to him, this is going to be a more diciplined team whomever plays.

He sounds like he has set out his theory well to the players.

I like to think with a fresh medical team and a manager with a better reputation for modern football knowledge, we'll do much better with injuries this year. If Richarlison can even be available 50% of games this season it would be huge for us.

Isn't much going on regarding outs.

We have a huge squad and be good to see how the team is going to shape up.

Of the most senior players who look most likely to go now seem in no rush, Son, Richarlison, Bissouma, Romero.

Bentancur seems to be getting a new contract.

I would imagine the likes of Solomon and Gil to be sold and only Donley and Vuskovic staying around

For me personally I would be open to selling Kulusevski and Sarr for very good offers and as long as they would get replaced with good quality... happy for both to stay aswell however.
Lange & co gotta pull their finger out. Maybe grow some balls too and 1/ be brutally honest with the deadwood 2/ dare tell their Daddy Danny that his valuations are ridiculous.

Take 60mil for Romero and say thank you.

Drag, Biss, Richy and Bryan Gil mustn't be in this coming season's squad. That's just gross negligence.

Bentancur and yeah even Kulu & Sarr don't (really) deserve another season.

Kinsky looks like the wrong buy.

Somebody offers us a decent amount for Odobert, I'm definitely listening. Unfortunately it's another year til we can cut his wee French pal.

Will always love him dearly but time for Sonny to find another challenge. Similar sentiment re Gentle Ben.

I’m still laughing at all the people from a week ago who thought we’d changed and had hundreds of millions pumped into the club to spend in the market rather than it just being our usual one big signing of the window. People are so easy to manipulate. No wonder levy has got away with it for so many years.

Just sign this guy and leave MGW to deal with the big fat Greek wedding crasher

Hadn't we signed Tel, we'd have 30 more mil and the squad place to go after that kid, who is far more talented as a LW/10/second striker.

So yeah that ship has sailed, I'm afraid, especially as we've still not managed to shift Solomon, Bryan Gil, Richarlison...even Sonny & Odobert.

Let's not give up on MGW, he should already be our player and it's ridiculous that nobody at the PL & UEFA hasn't told the fat Greek fuck to shut the hell up and swallow it.

Also need a LCB, LB, DM and proper CF before we think of a Xavi Simons.

Mikey Moore also gonna need minutes, otherwise the kid is gonna look for a way out.

MGW can play 8 and has no adaptation issues

Simons is a fucking baller with a truly world class ceiling.

I’m happy with either but if Simons is available and interested, you give Forest a deadline of today to stop fucking about then move on.
Pal, if we give up on MGW, we'll look weak. And what's stopping other clubs from fucking us in the future after we've met the release clause for one of their players? It'd set a precedent. I'll always have a soft spot for Forest, but fuck the walking morbid obesity case they call their owner. MGW is a Spurs player for the exact amount of the release clause, not a penny more...no fine, no nada. Period.

I don't think we need more signings, yes we finished 4th from the bottom last season but with massive 13 points gap from the bottom 3 clubs. We have nothing to worry about, relax we won't get relegated.
