Yep, for a blissful few hours it actually felt hopeful, 2 big signings on the same day, not selling before you buy so it felt like something might have happened. Obviously MGW isnt our fault but it feels again like we're wading in treacle in the market, cant move anyone on, squad stacked which is mostly self inflicted with the buying of kids and squad players. Still feel we need at least 3 more first team quality players as well as Gibbs-White but dont expect anything until some go, if they do.

3.5 weeks to PSG and as it stands from the squad we had 2nd half of last season we've added Kudos and Takei. We've barely scratched the surface.

We can’t just sell everyone and buy loads of new players. Frank and the team will use the players in the system that they think will get the best results. He is renowned for coaching players and growing them into far better players so all the history is kind of out the window as far as I’m concerned. Mbuemo, Wissa, Watkins, Toney were all no where close to as good as we all know without him and the teams coaching. For me a new dawn and everyone gets a clean slate

Levy will think that Frank can take the EL win form and extrapolate it across the league season. We all know how he thinks. He doesn’t have a clue about what goes on the pitch let’s remember.

Of course he's gonna say that, his job is to publicly back his own players, wouldn't take too much from that personally.

We need to sell anyway, our squad is too stacked as it is.

Also need a LCB, LB, DM and proper CF before we think of a Xavi Simons.

Mikey Moore also gonna need minutes, otherwise the kid is gonna look for a way out.

I really can't see Luis Enrique going for Romero. They got rid of Verratti, Neymar, Messi and Mbappe cause they got sick of selfish starlets who spent a lot of time out injured or generally fucking about. Now they got proper team-first grafters like Pacho, Fabian Ruiz, Kvaratshkelia & Desire Doue. Also still trying to shift Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez, two CB costing them a lot of money for very little in return...always out injured and crap attitude...why add to the problem by recruiting Romero?

Agree with all this. Not all will go, but they should all available for a realistic price. Sell and sell quickly
 
Tel & Danso might have been bought but they are not new players. We have no one on loan now and I do expect a couple to come in either with obligation to buy or not. However that will only happen towards the end of the window.

I have as much of a fixation with Tel as you do, only in the reverse order.

He was exciting at Rennes, flopped big time at Bayern (who know a thing or two about talent ID), did absolutely nothing special whilst on loan with us...but our in-house geniuses still decided he was worth 30 odd mil, because opportunistic signings is our trademark under Levy (see Kudus and MGW for further evidence).

I disagree big time with that decision, because I don't think he's good enough or what we needed. Plus it makes Mikey's path to first team minutes unnecessarily harder.

Bayern still owed us money for Kane and we wrote it off , perfect Levy deal . No way anyone at the club would have put their hands in their pockets and spent £30m on him . Baffling signing .
