Possibly and I also belive that VDV will be used as an tucked in full back hence why we haven't been linked to full backs to cover Udogie.

I agree. Probably for games where we are likely to dominate.
It's a lovely option to have with micky as we can push on and commit players whilst having micky, romero and one other strong cb to keep it locked up at the back.

I'm abit frustrated that we've not done more sooner. Yes we've got time but I always feel that if you've got a new coach with new ideas you need key personnel here early from the off so they can learn from game 1 and build.

The biggest problem now are the outs. Frank must have had a good look at most of them by now and made his decisions but we need to get them out the door.

Still confident we will get 2 more starting calibre players, MGW and 1 other who hoping is a dm/cm.

Lange & co gotta pull their finger out. Maybe grow some balls too and 1/ be brutally honest with the deadwood 2/ dare tell their Daddy Danny that his valuations are ridiculous.

Take 60mil for Romero and say thank you.

Drag, Biss, Richy and Bryan Gil mustn't be in this coming season's squad. That's just gross negligence.

Bentancur and yeah even Kulu & Sarr don't (really) deserve another season.

Kinsky looks like the wrong buy.

Somebody offers us a decent amount for Odobert, I'm definitely listening. Unfortunately it's another year til we can cut his wee French pal.

Will always love him dearly but time for Sonny to find another challenge. Similar sentiment re Gentle Ben.
So we need to sell 13 players?

EDIT I am Lange out but it's not worth torturing yourself with this kind of stuff.

I have as much of a fixation with Tel as you do, only in the reverse order.

He was exciting at Rennes, flopped big time at Bayern (who know a thing or two about talent ID), did absolutely nothing special whilst on loan with us...but our in-house geniuses still decided he was worth 30 odd mil, because opportunistic signings is our trademark under Levy (see Kudus and MGW for further evidence).

I disagree big time with that decision, because I don't think he's good enough or what we needed. Plus it makes Mikey's path to first team minutes unnecessarily harder.
My man, I was talking about Simons and MGW, never mentioned Tel once.

I'm not even bothering with the stuff about Rennes and Bayern because he will either asnwer it this season or he won't.

Mikey's path the first team is about him. If there are players in your way who are better, welcome to life at a big club. If you are ready you will out compete them and win the minutes like Kane did with Soldado. If you aren't ready, we can set you up with a PL loan to a smaller club where there are less obstacles.

Very good player. He is best off the ball where he is physically dominant. My only issue is he isn’t that great on the ball and additionally he is 30 and for an all action ball winning DM 30-33 is when you typically start to decline.
Didn’t Bayern pay around 40 odd million for him ? Be surprised if they were willing to take a hit like that on him

Only mentioned Tel cause Simons plays in that same kind of area, and signing the former for 35mil imho obviously impacts future signings on that left flank.

Unless Tel is the new superstar CF to compete with Dom.

I didn't know he was 30...

tbh 30m would be a massive overpay and I can see why Bayern want him off the wage bill.

No shade on Paulinha the player but if he's just flopped at Bayern in his prime, it maybe isn't the right end of the curve

I would be much happier with a younger 6 than him but the likes of Baleba and Wharton going to be crazy money.

He is the type of player who might be a great signing for 1-2 season then we have to dump straight after.
