Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It’s why I think I rather we spend £90m on Wharton than £50m each on two lesser players. I think we badly need a 6 baller type player. As for the left wing I think Odobert and Tel will need to stake a claim, if they can’t then I question why are they here.
I keep forgetting what position Odobert and Tel play. In that case it wouldn't make sense to buy another LW.

If we will play with a double pivot in midfield we need another player alongside Gray. I think him and Wharton would be great together. Not overly impressed with Bentancur or Bissouma but if we go for a Wharton keeping one of them would make more sense than a stopgap signing.

Sorry mate but I'm not buying that theres no other player available on the scale of experience.

None of the other teams trying to win the PL would be signing a 30 year old DM as their main man in a key position down the spine of the team.

And who cares about a reasonable price? Gooners needed a CM in the spine of their team so dropped 90m on Rice.
I mean Liverpool literally signed a 30-year-old Endo and were trying to win the title, were they not? And Paulinha has a lot more experience and class than the former.

It’s probably all just rumour bollocks anyway. But I think he would give us a steel we lack in the centre.

Yeah but not as their main man in CM.They signed him as a versatile depth option. They had Gravenberch and MacAllister already.

We need to upgrade our starting 11 in CM before chasing journeymen 30 year olds for experience.

Disappointing again today from Solanke, coming around to the idea that he will never be good enough. If we can shift Richy for half decent money we should be investing in a top striker. It won't be easy as it will involve spending a chunk of money but no other way around it.

Yer norgaard and endo were complete squad fillers.
We are talking about needing a starting quality cm/dm that can help us compete in the pl and cl whilst closing the gap to the top teams.

That is not paulinha.

We need a new left winger. I think we can see with Kudus what a difference that makes even if it's just preseason.

We lacked a progressive passer in the midfield pivot. Cuti ended up doing most of that first half, but I do think Gray can be that player for us. A stopgap might not be the worst option in the short term.

I'm still not sure about Vicario and Kinsky's distribution and composure on the ball.
I didn’t see today’s game but Ederson seems destined to leave City for £3,000,000.

kinsky is a million miles ahead of vic when it comes to footwork.

will be interesting to see gray in this team.

a LW that offers us as much as kudus would be a game changer.

I agree but we're just not in the game for world class player unfortunately. Id much rather be left a little short in certain areas whilst making sure the ones you do address are done properly.
If its a dm/cm get a top quality one even if it means u may not have the budget to address a lb, for example. Go get a baleba, a Wharton etc.

If its a lw you want go get a rodrygo and make do with developing the cm's we do have.

We spread our transfer funds far and wide and half of them turn out not to be good enough.

would love rodrygo, hes close to being world class if not already is. dont think we have a chance of getting him tho.

theres players out there that massively upgrade us though, kudus looks like a very good signing, now do the same on the other flank.

agree about wharton, would love him. bentancur to me doesnt look good enough, id rather keep bissouma out of the two of them.
