Time will tell, we all see the game differently i suppose.
I think with how we setup in the 4231 under frank bentancur will fit perfectly. Yes we want somebody capable of more but bents knits it together well and I think he's a good all rounder. First half our left hand side where he played lcm was operating well he was keeping it simple when needed and playing forwards in a controlled manner effectively and we didn't suffer many turnovers especially from deep. I liked it.
yea i hear that, but if we are playing in a 4231, one of the 2 needs to be a good ball player, bissouma and bentancur aint that guy, not for the level we want to be competing at, you need genuine class in there. its such an important position, its crucial to how good a team can be, look at city without rodri.

If/when we set up with a double pivot I don't see why it couldn't be Gray and Bergvall. Both were arguably 2 of our better players last season, they would give us legs, both can deliver a killer pass and both can leave a foot in now and again.

These 2 sitting in front of a back 4 of Porro, Romero, VDV, and either Udogie/Spence, better still Robinson would be pretty sound imo, with MGW ahead of them, Kudus wide left/right of him and the 80m saved on a number 6 invested in a top class number 9 and one other from Tel, Johnson, Oderbert, Moore,Son etc.

And when rotating to a single 6, why not Romero? He has all the attributes!

to be fair that was kinskys only blunder in that first half i think? yea poor decision to come for that as he should know hes not gonna get near it as its too congested.

both of them need some tuning, both can be very good keepers though. vic is never going to be comfortable with the ball at his feet, youll have to adjust for that tactically, thats the issue with him.
Other major issues is neither are great at corners or set pieces in general, unsure if you can coach that, esp when every opposition team targets it.

Yeah but not as their main man in CM.They signed him as a versatile depth option. They had Gravenberch and MacAllister already.

We need to upgrade our starting 11 in CM before chasing journeymen 30 year olds for experience.
That’s slightly rewriting history. Klopp did not really fancy Gravenberch as a DM in his last season. It was Slott who transformed him.

I find it funny a player Bayern signed for 50m 12 months ago who has 40 caps for a very fine Portugal team is now a journey man…

He is a kid, give him time

Neither of our keepers would fill you with confidence. Kinsky, great with his feet, but came for a punch in the first half and made a mess of it. Vic poor with ball at his feet, can pull off some miraculous saves , but then needs someone like Vdv to save us in the EL final from another calamitous error. Probably not as great a priority as other areas in some people's views, but definitely needs some consideration.

Kinsky's makes far too many bad errors.
We are one keeper injury away from being derailed.
Need a better back up.
A more compelling case for loaning out a young player - I have not seen.
Let him learn and make his mistakes somewhere else
