No.Is that also down to houses mostly being built for summer though ?
They aren't.
Hope that helps.

All the good ones!
Pal, save yourself the trouble, hit the magic button. We signed them for 87m from a relegated team and a relegation threatened team. Can you just not accept that it rarely happens? Do you have to argue the toss about everything?
Whenever we spend 'big', we fuck it up.
No serious big club would've signed Ndombele, Richy or Solanke for 60, Johnson for 50, Madders for 45, Biss for 35...Archie for 40...
“I know Chelsea made an offer, and I believe Woolwich also contacted Everton to ask about my situation, but Spurs came in and paid the fee, you know? It’s as simple as that. Everton had to sell some players to avoid a Financial Fair Play problem, and the negotiations were very brief, to be honest.
“I was on holiday in Brazil when I heard that Tottenham had made Everton an offer. I was happy because they are a huge team. Then it was all about the clubs negotiating a deal, and fortunately, everything went well. Antonio Conte called me during the negotiations and expressed how much he’d like to have me on board – that was vital for my decision.”
Football is cyclical... it wasn't that long ago we were finishing ahead of both Pool and the Nomads. From a position of strength we went out and bought Ndombele, Bergwijn, Sessegnon and Lo Celso. All failures which set us back years allowing the Nomads to move past us. You could easily see a scenario where Zubimendi, Madueke and Gyokeres all fail. It only takes one piss poor window to set you back years. He isn't that kind of manager though is he, he kept Brentford in the PL on the lowest net spend for how many seasons?
I think we will give him enough to make us compete for 5th place, our only glimmer of hope is we have some really good Young players and if we can get MGW over the line and some of the like of Bergvail improve on last season then I think we could have a really good competitive squad but the worry is we were already so far behind the likes of City and Pool etc and they are all strengthening like mad.
If we mess up this season and don't get CL again next season then I don't think we ever bridge that gap with the top 4 , our only hope is they all fuck off to a Super league
the lack of an update is getting so frustrating. Would be nice if we knew what was actually holding it up and when it'll be resolved. Sounds like Forest are just threatening legal action and trying to convince City to match Spurs' offer which is beyond bizzare at this stage.

And again, the cuntiest cunt of a club getting it done on a player we should be targeting whilst we fuck about with our latest excuse to not get a transfer done
We all know by now MGW will be the “we tried” and we’ll end up signing El Khanouss or Buonannote type fodder
I'm trying. Just find the whole situation very frustrating as we've no updates anywhere else. Linked with Mainoo and Palinha but we've now been told we need to sell Bissouma first and no update on that.
I happen to think this is a lucky escape. He won't even make their bench.

Indeed thought he looked quite silky on the ball in the CL last season. i suppose if i'm gonna delude myself somewhat and say at this stage he isnt better than maddison in that position anyway
They have benefited hugely from the PL allowing multi year amortisation (that loop hole is now closed)... but they were still able to sign ~20 odd players on 8 year deals with their transfer fee spread over 8 years. When those players are sold, and some already have then they benefit from putting the whole transfer in the current year. This is kicking the can down the road because you end up counting player costs who are not even at the club (think NFL salary cap problem... they call it dead money). Take Mudryk... he was signed in Jan-23 on an 8.5 year contract for £62m. His transfer fee is on their books at £7.3m every accounting year until 2031/32. Multiply that a few times and you can see their problem. They probably have 50-60m in transfer fees for players on their books every season. But the trick is to keep selling them even if you make a loss which they are likely to do on some of these players even in an inflated market. If they sell Mudryk this summer for 20m then that whole amount will count in their 2025/26 accounts. If every club made a pact not to buy from them they would need to come up with another loophole.Players aren't choosing chelsea because of "wages" - they don't even pay that highly.
They choose them because they are practically giving them a guaranteed salary over their whole career, such is the length of the contracts. Lots of pros have commented on that aspect.
That is just stupidity and not a simple 'wages' matter
Interesting, but flagging that the flaws highlighted in the thread below is very worrying re transition to PL:Yes. He’s good. Had been in my wishlist for a while, but also posted this recently:
Yep, PSG have Kvarat and Barcola so it would make no sense for them to sign Rodrygo.Rodrygo's agent just throwing crap out there to see what happens.
