Isak is going to Saudi for a world record, ridiculous amount of money and wages.

He will go to a club owned by the same people that own Newcastle. The bar codes will then spend that “income” very aggressively.

Surely that’s fucking obvious to anyone and everyone?

They’ve likely promised him he can come back to Europe in a year or 2.
I don’t think he wants to go to a Saudi club.

We need to sell one of our hotels back to ourselves for 300m so that there is more money Levy won't spend. It don't matter how rich we are, this lot have no intention of going the extra mile to win the PL.

Liverpool turned his head but they then bought Ekiteke.

Earlier comment.

I can't see why one would write Livepool off........ Allegedly they already had a bid refused before this latest round of media broke about him wanting out...... And they were already being talked bout as wanting him before they had to face the prospect of losing Jota.

In that respect; hypothetically:

Jota <> Ekitike (who apparently Slot sees as versatile enough to deputise on the wings too)
Nunez <> Isak

You can also use Diaz & Gakpo as moving parts too.

There's also PSG, MC, the filthy bent Chavs.... Hell; if I'm Bayern I'm giving up on the idea of Diaz, diving in and playing him off of Kane.

There's a list of potential title contenders across Europe before Isak thinks about coming here for the same top 4-6 battle as Newcastle.

Not content with not believing credible journalist, you're making up transfer stories based on supposition guess work and conspiracy theories.

I'd love to live in your world for a day.

Can Ekiteke play on the wing? Unless he can, the Isak move wouldn’t make sense.

Man City and Bayern have Haaland and Kane so won’t spend 130m on Isak.
Chelsea have just bought Delap and Pedro, alongside many others, surely they’re running out of FFP headroom?

PSG is a shout, but haven’t heard any rumours and Dembele just had potential Balon d’or season at CF.

So there aren’t any obvious suitors. We should go all out, we’re a CL club based in London.

The same guy that once literally said "it doesn't matter if it's true or not" and proceeded to build an argument around the contents of some z-tier tweet.

You've casually dismissed most other bigger, richer clubs in Europe despite the back-drop of people here crying about how "aggressively" & "ambitious" their "investing" owners are.........

When we had Kane; people insisted there was no legit obstacle to signing another top ST.......... Not pinning that on you personally; but which is it? ......Do all previous narrative go out of the window now?

He's mustard, but face it; we're barely breaching a top 10 list of clubs that would appeal to him in this moment in time.

Their owners are ambitious, but all the points I made on why it wouldn’t make sense for those clubs were reasonable.

As for another striker alongside Kane, you’ll have to be specific, but Lautaro for example has a track record of playing support striker. Isak doesn’t.

If all those owners are as "aggressive" as people have spent the last few days telling us....... At least 1 of them surely would step up and say "fuck that; I'm not gonna pass up one of the best STs on the planet".

Who said anything about support?

You'd play Kane in the pocket and have Isak as furthest forward.........

If I'm BM, I'd rather do that than blow the 80/90m Liverpool reportedly want for Diaz (which would then essentially fund LFCs move for Isak anyway!)...

As per my very first post to you; I'll ask again...... What does "going all out" specifically constitute here... Be honest; we represent a side-step for Isak right now (and NC can match any wage we care to offer).

Imagine how many more progressive passes & carries Bentancur, Bissouma or whoever the other CM is, if they had the ball more and received it quickly after we had won possession, so the opposition hadn't had chance to reset.

That is what Palhinha does.

Not every player on the team needs to be strong at progressing the ball. You need players that win the ball back and get it to the progressive players quickly, players that can intelligently progress the ball and runners to get onto the end of the pass.

Exactly. I think all the databois don’t understand how well he reads the game, which can’t be quantified. Being an unrelenting runner and tackler frees up other players to accumulate those progressive carries and feel more free going forward. Palhinha’s impact is never going to be quanitifed in just stats

But he’s a 30yo unrelenting runner, so perhaps close if not already past his prime?
