We've signed players that people thought were quality before, and mostly they've struggled to bring that quality here. My take on it is that the head coach/manager is a modifier on top of a player's quality, and having seen what has come and gone at Brentford, I just don't think we know what we're dealing with until he's put them through their paces.
I have fuck all to do with transfers and all that jazz of course, so no one needs to have a go at me for saying that - but I expect that is what Frank will be trying to figure out right now, and to see who he wants to keep, to go, and what he needs to bring in.
Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we suddenly get players looking 10x as good as they have done last season though

In reality as it stands, the only difference between our team this year and the one we put out last year is Kudus and a 5 mil punt on Takai.
I'm not melting but it's hardly inspiring.

Agree with that, and looking at the calendar it’s chilling that we have 18 days until the first competitive game of the season. Pre season clearly means fuck all.
There is no way there is enough quality in this squad to compete.
