A career choice?

LOL

If Frank wanted him and we made any attempt, that would have been embarrassing

Let’s just go with the idea that Frank didn’t want him and the links were bullshit

.........You can't comprehend the appeal of playing for 2nd place Arse rather than 17 place THFC for a pro that's not a Spurs fan?

15 place gap.

How far do you think manager/captain loyalty should extend? .............Dropping down into the champo?

We are THFC, run by Enic. Obviously knowing what we should do imo....
Sell Solanke, Johnson, Maddison, Benny, Bissouma, Richarlison, Son (150-170m+?), stick it all in the pot, add another 80m+ and go and buy 4 top class replacements (2 70m+ front men, 1 ATM, 1 CDM) and give them 8-12m+ a year contracts.

And we know what we will do....
Nothing like this!!

I'll answer my own statement....
Ollie Watkins. Nicolas Jackson 130m?
MGW 65m?
Adam Wharton 80m?

Slightly over budget, but...

It feels like I'm sitting in a pub called The Spur.
Punters and a miserable bunch with half empty glasses.
They look over the road to The Arse and think: 'That's a lovely pub! Look, their glasses are half full!'

Why do we look at other teams' potential signings so optimistically and ours so pessimistically? Are we so afraid of failure?
Honestly the the cheek of this post really is amazing.

Woolwich, despite having a very similar income to us, have finished 36, 23 and 24 points above us over the last 3 seasons.

The EL is as great, a night to cherish forever, but it’s absolutely natural for our fans to want us to address that imbalance and get back to both competing with and finishing above them.

It’s not “half glass full and half glass empty”, it’s that we’ve signed one first team starter this summer. We signed one first team starter over the previous 2 transfer windows too (Solanke). We have good young talent, no doubt, but we lack top end talent in our squad and it’s slightly frustrating that we don’t appear to be moving heaven and earth to the either bolster that, or close the gap on those cunts down the road.

When people mention Woolwich, it’s not out of some sort of jealousy or admiration, it’s frustration that the respective moves each club are doing are making it seem less likely that the gap will be closing any time soon.

There’s nothing petulant or irrational about that.

Great post. The "you support Woolwich" thing is very weird. It's natural that we feel jealous when they show a far greater ambition than us even though we are of a similar standing.

Wharton, Stiller fuck knows whoever the scouts match profile wise but you don’t need to see this game to know it’s a profile issue we have.

Why does it feel like we always have an obvious profile missing like this and always manage to leave it unfilled until the next manager comes in?

Meanwhile we will pick up market opportunities in the meantime that don’t really solve a major problem.

Whackamole squad building
