Wouldn't have him as a 6.........

(FWIW Moyes used to play him ahead of a Soucek & Rice double pivot.)

#8 with quality on the ball and attacking instincts........ My concern would be the complaints I recall from spammers that he'd get carried away and neglect the defensive end of his game.

I know he was used more advanced. He was even tried as a F9 at times

Maybe he's not disciplined enough as a 6 but he does have the nastiness and doesn't shy away from a rough challenge

I don’t think we’ll see that £60m at all. It’ll be the hope that Maddison and Deki stay fit, and a loan move for Paulinha.

Maybe a move for McAtee, but nowhere near the £60m.

Woolwich have improved massively, City and Chelsea have also. Liverpool are a billion miles ahead of us and Utd have had a much better window. We’re nowhere near any of them in terms of quality in this window.

Eze should have been the one, but that ship has sailed.
Eze is begging for Woolwich and they'll sign him soon. They are just playing chicken hoping Palace accept under the release clause.

We are so far behind the leading pack. Furthest we've been behind the top 4 since pre-Harry Redknapp. Embarrassing really how far we let Woolwich move past us since we last beat them in 2022 under Conte.

Need a statement of intent now, pushing into August and we have one deal over the line, meanwhile the 4 or 5 clubs looking to put themselves in the title race next season have all spent massive amounts with rumours (Simons to Chavs, Eze to Arse, Isak to Pool) of further investment, we clearly have a lot of work to do in the squad and we're sat on our fucking hands.
Sign some players bald cunt.

Get in! Get in!

Me - If he gets on the plane then he's likely staying at Forest.

You - No, he's not. He's just being professional and doing what a professional would do until all this gets sorted.

Told you so... :frankarms:

The have a decent team... Not sure why that would be on the cards.

They just strike me as a team that could yo-yo out of nowhere, I enjoyed watching them last season, but they give me the feeling they could be really up, or really down and that it could come out of nowhere.

Though this is just a random gut feeling I grant you.

Who would be the closest profile to MGW that we could target? Eze is likely scum bound, but they're not quite the same player anyway?

Shit happens. The club can’t control what other clubs/players do. But now all eyes have to be on Levy to see how we react to this.

Based on our preseason games (and yes they are only preseason games), we have looked desperately off the mark and in urgent need of improvements at LW, up front and in every single position in central midfield.

We finished 17th last season. Nowhere near enough has been done this transfer window.

Every cloud and all that - winning the Europa was starting to give some of our more blinkered fans ammo for their “Levy’s alright bollocks” - this has him firmly back in the mud and the pressure will ramp up again.

Been an utterly shocking window - we’ve spent money in the 2 areas where we are somewhat overloaded whilst completely ignoring the gaping chasm that is our central midfield. Is it negligence or is Levy actually a gooner?

Lool the quotes from MGW..

"I believe in what we're building here – and with the backing of Mr Marinakis and the enormous ambition he has, I want to be part of making something special."
