Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's fine. This will trigger something in Levy and result in us signing Wharton and Rodrygo in the next 48 hours. Nothing else will quell my rage.

Rodrygo - Solanke - Kudus
Maddison
Bergvall - Wharton
Udogie - VDV - Romero - Porro
Vicario
WHY DOES THAT LINEUP STILL LOOK SHIT. Fuck me, we've fallen off so hard over the last few years.

We are already well behind the eight ball.

This window has all of the hall marks of every failed transfer window in recent seasons and could easily end up being one of the worst windows.

How do you see this squad of kids faring wehn we play the big boys? When we lock horns with Woolwich, Liverpool, Chelsea with these kids we are going to get fucking spanked.

Its even worse than last season as now we have to play a whole buch of CL fixtures as well.
Oh there's no doubt we need 3/4 quality players in.

no one will disagree with you there

He had many deficiencies, but leadership wasn't really one of them.

If top level competition is still routinely beating us at the beginning of next season, it's going to speak some volumes, I think it's only fair to say.

I don't expect that. But it's possible.

Losses to clubs at the very top are always a potential reality...... Even when we were at it under Poch we still lost around half of them.

The bar (albeit a limbo rather than a high jump) set last season constituted appalling results and performances like Ipswich (H), Lester (H), Palace (H), Fulham (A), Wolves (A) and Rangers (A), Tamworth (A)..... 15 league losses in total to teams not in the so-called big 6.

Losing to a strong Liverpool (whom some pundits are now zealously calling "the best team in Europe") won't suddenly vindicate Ange's part in last season's dreadful league finish.

I don’t want to send people over the edge, but we never do any business while on these Far East tours too. Levy has the whole operation over there glad handing and sucking up to sponsors.
Yeah that's his special time to pretend he is one of the lads and hang out with his homey's , the players

We won't be active til the last 2 weeks of the window at best

Wouldn't be surprised if we are done outside of loaning out a few youngsters and selling Sonny

To be honest I was never really hyped for MGW. Not sour grapes ,My post history backs that up.
Think he's another grossly overrated mid player personally.

We should've been all in on Simons the past 3 weeks instead of pissing about with Gibbs white

But outside of that how on earth does levy expect to win the league and champions league with the way he runs the club?
Is he a fuckin idiot? Or does he just take the fans for idiots
Probably a bit of both , be interesting to see his statement when Frank is sacked

What a strange club we are.

Fcuk Gibbs-White,who has shown he has no ambition. I was on record saying he was good, but not brilliant. 60 plus million for him was too much.

But Levy and co need to now show something to the fans and to Frank.

Let's not lose hope yet.

Now everyone will be expecting this 60 mill to be spent on an alternative but the reality is the club will decide to wait and assess the market and maybe do some business in January :levyhands:

By "top level" I meant "Premier League and foreign equivalent" as opposed to "global elite"

We're going to get fucking pounded in the Champions League if our form is on the same planet as last year.

The thread has finally slowed down a bit, phew !

I guess everyone is digging out their old posts with MGW in their starting XI for next seasons assault on the Premier League and Champions league?
