But not entirely surprised is the truth of the matter.

Since Rivaldo's letter we have always had the suspicion of Murphy's law being the outcome.

The noise was building against ENIC & Levy as Kudus and the 'impending' MGW signings were 'here we go' authenticated.

The accompanying 'Levy is stepping back' & investment rumours were the icing on the cake.

Now it looks as though it's still sell to buy and the smoke and mirrors around MGW bought more time.

ENIC and Levy are the slippeyest of owners.

I just never think it’s done until they are at Hotspur way with the shirt in hand. Football is just too dodgy nowadays for anything to be done until the contract is signed.

My man, you know that though we sometimes disagree on stuff, I do like you as a contributor and I also think you're a decent bloke. But you've lost the plot here.

Sure our PR team are shameless dickheads and Ali Gold & the likes are no-backbone stooges who will gladly accept writing certain stories in return for some favours from the club. But come on now.

All that happened with MGW is Lange or someone else our side got wind of the release clause amount, informed Levy who gave the green light...but oh no our in-house geniuses didn't do their due diligence in full and missed a couple things. So when Marinakis heard about it, he knew he literally had no obligation to release MGW, that if the law ever got involved he'd be proven right. And with him being a loud & brash character, he just couldn't resist making it all public to humiliate Spurs and Levy. End of the day, he gave MGW as much/more money as he'd have gotten at Spurs and he also told him that he's an owner who puts his money where his mouth is (unlike Levy), that Forest are going places whereas Spurs are in shambles, that his chances of making the ENG squad wouldn’t be any higher by joining us...easy sell really. Not even a need for them gangster threats.

As for your Lautaro, Dybala, Guehi etc...maybe we just intentionally targeted players and timings we knew wouldn't work. But that way you give your fans the illusion you really are ambitious (God knows some are that gullible) when in reality you never intended to complete them moves. They were still real for a time, though.

I think what we're all slowly realising is that we aren't liked at ALL within football circles...
Clubs, Owners, Agents, Media, Fans!

They all have a different type of dislike of us, and for various reasons...
and now it's all come home to roost!

Clubs & owners don't like doing business with us,/Levy ...we don't have strong enough connections or relationship with the Agents...
The Media love reporting our shortcomings, and the Fans simply lap it up and laugh at us!

It's the perfect anti -Spurs shitstorm!

I think calling posters pathetic requires a hard look in the mirror.

Probably a new release clause or a promise he can leave when a "big club" come calling

I can see why he signed it

Like I said, he will go for more than 60m next summer prob to a rival and we will be kicking ourselves we missed out

ENIC's ownership of Spurs is now doing us harm isn't it?

The illusion is falling apart with every bullshit story spun by the likes of Gold and WATTV.

While the serious clubs are TCB ENIC are taking the piss.

Talk is cheap and so are ENIC.

It's still sell to buy and Levy is going nowhere unless his position is made untenable.

We are all talking out of our arse but apparently certain journalists saying something makes it true.

Doesn’t change the outcome in reality for Spurs fans does it?

If people feel some comfort in going along with the way the MGW saga was reported, then fair play to them. To me it makes fuck all difference, he’s still at Forest and all there is to show for it, is some stories on the internet with no confirmed sources and no quotes.

I think the previous poster suggesting fans are actually happy the deal fell through because they can’t bare to read people rightly bashing our ownership on a public forum IS pretty pathetic.
