Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

that's a bit of a false dichotomy because the palyers above are being sold to the biggest club in England (at the time) Spain and Germany.

Newcastle for eg could offer all the money in the world but the player has to want to come, it's also about other options the player has - easy to say okay tell Madrid "100M for Rodrygo, and we'll pay him 250K a week"

Maybe that would do it, I'd be sure Madrid would expect, the player? I'm not sure.
This is absolutely the biggest point that people miss on this thread by a country mile. Also a massive part of the reason we usually do business late imo, really good players want to go to really good clubs and we just fundamentally aren't at the moment, we're still in the chasing pack. Players can hold out until the last few days of the transfer window equally as much as clubs can.

The best players leave clubs who will not pay them the top wages.

The Forest chairman has been roundly slagged off on this forum and elsewhere for his actions but tell me with a straight face that if any of the players on the list I posted had been kept at WHL, by Levy offering them agreeable terms, you would have been unhappy?

Do you see how this works?

Levy has turned Spurs into a selling club.

The Forest chairman now objects to selling his best players to a club run by Daniel Levy.

Not keen for Moore to go out on loan at all. Last season he already showed he could play some part. If we wanna grow him, we grow him in games under our colours as late subs or some of the cup games. I know he's still young, but not like we are buying marquee world class stars that he has no space to push for his spots when we have an inexperienced Tel, an injury prone Richy and an aging Son if the latter two ended up staying

Son will be gone, Solomon likely to Leeds, and we don't know who else my be coming in.

At just seventeen it makes sense for Moore to go out on loan. I'm guessing WBA.

Rodrygo is asking for massive money, the whole package is supposedly a huge outlay.

He's one of the most naturally talented footballers in the world.

He's hardly going to accept parity with our top earmers.

This is what fucks me off about our recruitment. Why bother getting involved if we aren't serious.

It's like we make a little enquiry in the hope we can attract these types for way less than their ability actually warrants lol

I mean we're just small time.

Always trying to shop at M&S with a fucking Lidl bag.

When we were challenging for the title, and could have signed the most ambitious players, we didn't fucking sign any.

Why do you think that was?

It's because our miserly chairman does not want a big player wage bill.

He can't pay himself a bonus for fucking up the construction projects if he has one of those.

You really don’t have a clue about anything do you.

Red Sox finances have absolutely nothing to do with Liverpool’s. Two separate entities in two separate countries in two separate sports with two totally separate financial rules governing them.

Red Sox trading a player has the square root of fuck all to do with Liverpool financial constraints and spending. Liverpool have not needed any, whether internal or external funding in respect of their transfer spending.

Henry, not unlike Kroenke move money between their business ownerships.

Sorry to piss on your fire mate.

Where do City get their billions from, between the cushions of Pep's sofa.

You fool.

you don't get to decide who's a "Genuine" Supporter and who's not, grow up.

you're doing the exact same fucking thing accusing people who don't despise the owners as being not Spurs fans and I'm fucking sick of it on both sides frankly.

JT absolutely wrecks my head but I fully accept like me AND EVERYONE ELSE ON HERE wants us to win and be successful.

accusing people of being fans of Woolwich or Hotels or Spreadsheets or boardrooms or whatever the fuck else needs to stop we can all want what's best for Spurs and have differing opinions on the ownership.
this place needs to grow up a bit, its painful.
I'm with you mate. We both have differing views and I can be as bad as anyone with the things I've spouted in the past and I'm going to try and keep my views a bit less accusatory. There are posters on here I genuinely dislike but, whatever I think about their views they are entitled to them.
I feel as a club we seem to be hated by everyone else and I believe that has a lot to do with the owners. I'm 57 and I don't ever remember the term 'Spursy' bring used before Enic took over. I think a lot of us hate the embarrassment that the board seem to bring us. MGW being the latest in a number of fuck ups...If we really wanted him pay the money...it seems our esteemed chairman has learnt nothing. After snagging a trophy last season I would have thought the board would have at least tried to get some decent signings over the line...

Loaning out Kinsky would be stupid especially after selling Keeley.

Only other way would be If Luca Gunter is seen as competent enough. For one Austin won’t cut it. Gunter is in the trip - let’s see if he gets any game time at all

Well I'm not sure what it's got to do with us because he 100% would not be interested in a move here. From what I understand he had earmarked a move to Woolwich and had liverpool on his list but while both clubs were seriously interested they were less keen on his demands which were close to Saudi money expectations.
