Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The Extra Mile(sey) The Extra Mile(sey) Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive Rumor has it Levy spent our transfer budget on pastries for that big briefing session they had at HQ on Sunday.

£26.50 well invested.
More likely a 10:30 pm trolley dash through Sainsbury's bakery section to pick up the left overs with the yellow stickers on them and the texture of a brick

No way he gave those plebs fresh pastries

I wanna a bit more than that for £50m, is he much better than Bergvall? I don’t believe he is.

Lump an extra £30m on that and Palace are going to be having serious deliberations about whether to flog Wharton or not, Brighton would def let Baleba go for that
You do know Wharton is injury-prone and that he isn't Busquets/Pirlo/Vieira/Yaya/Essien?

Kid's played less than 40 PL games and has plenty holes to his game.

You keep advocating for making him our 100mil signing...that's just pure madness.

PSG having no time to train is a big deal. We have a chance. And Frank will understand full well how much time and goodwill it will buy him to nick that one game, he'll have tricks up his sleeve.
It's a slim chance.

They play the game on another stratosphere to us. The team is also very new to Frank's system and PSG are probably the worst possible opponent when you are still figuring out the basics of your system. They could very quickly blow us away before match fitness becomes critical - 3-0 up within 20 mins scenario is in no way unrealistic.

Keep it under 5 and I'll be amazed

I will be genuinely surprised if they are anywhere near their best.

A death machine like the PSG we saw the last few months doesn't just rock up the first day of training, it's the product of a sustained process.

''Journalist Duncas Castles has now revealed that Zabarnyi wants to move to the French capital, but PSG are only willing to pay €60m (£52m) for his services.

However, he asserts that Tottenham have already made a bid of €70m (£60.7m) for the Ukrainian, which is more than the fixed component of the fee they paid for Dominic Solanke, who is Spurs’ record signing.''

Id sooner roll the dice on acquisitions than buy no one, not to mention all of our most egregious transfers in recent years (GLC, Reguilon, Ndombele, Richy, Solanke, Sessegnon) were all planned out and completed early window, getting players in early really should be no means of comfort for a Spurs fan tbh, some of our best players in the last 20 years arrived in the week leading to deadline day.
Fuck, we got Kudus early, didn't we? :contehandshead:

Hope you're wrong on that one! We might be in luck on that one :gallashmm:

It is becoming clear that Levy is a lying turd who says outrageous things to try and fool the supporters if I was Frank i would walk now before his reputation is ruined by the bald idiot,.In what world does one new player make you up for winning the league or even getting through the first stage of the European cup.In any other industry+he would have been sacked for in competence
No need for the word becoming...

He can play both wings, seems more n more likely sonny will leave... versatile on both wings, just cos he is left footed doesnt mean he cant play on left & has to be inverted only to the right wing... Johnson is right footed played mainly on right.

I think Kudus has said he doesn't like playing on the left, that's why he was so average last season as he played out there quite a lot apparently

If Son goes i can see Frank using Johnson as the replacement on that left side. That was probably the plan he had for him at Brentford, after all Johnson was never going to play on the right with Mbuemo locking down that position

There is no doubt that so far this summer window our transfer business has been slow and underwhelming compared to the likes of Liverpool and the Chavs but i dont think there is any need to push the panic button just yet.

We have a new manager through the door in Thomas Frank someone who is a highly accomplished and respected tactician in the game.

He will undoubtedly want to bring new signings in as quick as possible to work with them before the season kicks off but he also needs and wants to assess the squad he has inherited to make the best decisions for the club going forward

All of the scouting and analytical team behind the scenes will be drawing up lists of potential new signings who will fit into Frank's style

MGW would've added something to the squad we have but he's decided to stay at Forrest so we move on.

There is no point making signings for the sake of it they have to be right and sometimes that takes time

For one of the first times ever i think Levy will spend big this summer we just have to watch this space to see who it is We go in for ( we like many clubs havent really been linked with anyone so i get transfer news is quite frustrating even if 98% of the time its bullshit)

Levy seems to be missing the bigger picture. We're in a difficult position, especially with Romero yet to sign a new contract, and both Bentancur and Bissouma entering the final year of theirs. We urgently need to either secure extensions for at least one of them or line up suitable replacements. This situation highlights just how poorly the 2022/23 transfer window was managed.
With all due respect, fuck extending those mugs' contracts. The sooner they jog on, the better.
