As we speak operations are in full flow . Levy , Lange and Paratici all practicing unplugging the fax machine . We are leaving nothing to chance this time , we very nearly signed MGW and if not for Marinakis he would be ours . That was to close for comfort to going through , we won’t be making that mistake again .
Cross bars will be hit , goalposts will be moved , however relying on losing MGW on a Greek VAR decision is to risky.

Ok I made all that up in case anyone thinks I’m ITK .

It’s a shame our own academy players all have to go out on loan but we buy youngsters from other clubs for substantial fees and they get minutes in first team. Most are not good enough but still get preferred to our youngsters. We won’t know if they are any good with our first team players.
He showed potential but not enough to hold down a place in our PL team. A loan could make all the difference and set him up for the following season.

Just over 2 weeks until season starts. What an absolute shit show of a club . We finished 17th on 38 points , we’ve brought one in and likelihood is Sonny leaves before season starts . Back to the usual - “we tried but …… wouldn’t let ………, leave so close to the season starting “
We really know how to burst a bubble .

There is a whole month left of the transfer window, and Frank will need some time to assess the players.

2 areas where we have risk.

Creative Mid - With Kulu out until later this year and Madisson playing yoyo with his fitness, we will struggle to create chances. Son looks likely to exit. Solanke, Tel, Johnson are all strikers that thrive on good service and aren't really strikers who can create their own chances. Richy is good at attacking half chances and long balls, but again - rarely fit to play.

Full Back - Again, Udogie struggling with fitness and Porro cannot play every single game. Spence and Davies are not a good enough backup. The lack of movement in these positions suggests that Frank won't use the full backs like Ange and Conte did, and may prefer a flat back 4 - in which case, I'd expect Porro may seek an exit.

Frank has been a PL manager for years.

His assessment of the squad will have been part of his job interview. None of the delay in activity is anything to do with that.

If you’ve been a Spurs fan long enough you know exactly what the delays are about:

1. Unable to do deals for targets. Top targets usually demand wages we don’t offer.

2. Waiting for targets to get cheaper later in the window when selling clubs get desperate.

3. Unable to sell players we need to upgrade so they stay in the squad and replacements don’t come in.

Thats the model Levy follows and it’s the main thing between us and competing with the top 4 who have all pulled away considerably this summer. United hopefully fuck it up like usual but they have acted like the top 4 as well, again this summer.

I’ll be honest, I don’t expect anything special from here in the transfer window and I doubt many Spurs fans have much or any optimism for the window.

Bentancur and Kulu have both won the Italian League multiple times.

Romero is a world cup winner.

Solanke has won the premier league. I agree he doesn't start for most top teams, but as a squad player he's decent.

Despite a poor season, Son was still top 5 is most attacking stats last season.

Porro gets in most top teams in Europe's starting 11, and if it wasn't for his long contract, would likely be back at City.

VDV is still at the potential stage. Needs to get over these injury issues. If he gets 1 full season in and retains the form he has shown, he becomes one of the most valuable CBs in the world.

In 3 or 4 years time, Sarr will be one of the top midfielders in the world.

On top of that, Tel showed last season exceptional desire and work rate. If that turns into goals, we have a diamond on our hands.

Spurs has an excellent squad - the problem is they are always fucking injured....and they are stuck playing Davies, Spence and kids with limited experience.
You just must be a troll.

Yeah it's a tragic way to keep operating and having the cheek to keep pulling the wool over the fans eyes.

The stadium has changed nothing other than line ENIC'S pockets further.

I really am completely fed up with how we operate and nothing changes whilst they own the Club.

For Levy to talk about wanting to win the league and CL is actual comedy gold.

In what universe is that possible operating the way we do.

An Insult to every fans intelligence.

There is more money to spend after the stadium but not in comparison to the biggest clubs.

We are still exactly where we were comparatively before we moved to the stadium and the squad was further ahead before the move.

Problem is, I think Levy is delusional about it.
