Another stop gap.

Should've went all in on Wharton who'd be a mainstay for 10 years. Instead we'll get Palinha, probably sign him permanently, he inevitably regresses and add to the stockpile of crap we have.

This is the way.
Does Wharton want to come? Or would he rather stay at palace another year or two and then move to a Liverpool or city ?

And not one of them is a decent keeper

Seems to be the theme with clubs at the mo. Newcastle signing the keeper that has relegated 3 teams now. United keeping a clown in the sticks. Chelsea sticking with Sanchez. Villa looking to sell the best one they've had in yonks.

Only Liverpool and City seem to have the right idea so far.

Surprised the club hasn't gone all out for a DM, which has been a need for sometime.
Maybe there was nobody available within our budget hence this loan.
If Frank wants him then who are we to question.

Point taken, but this is harsh. Would've absolutely started for Bournemouth, for starters. Brighton as well. Not glowing praise, but definitely in those 2.

I also never understand why some are so quick to bin players we sign. Many did the same with Son, Dembele, etc....players can take a beat to settle in. And Solanke was playing under our worst manager ever.

Happy to see what he does in a team with a proper manager.
Not aiming this directly at the person you're replying to or even the player necessarily but feel like it's a generational thing when people jump on an opinion and run with it as much as they can out of fear being proven wrong and just inbed themselves. Also unsure about how much of the fanbase watches our games outside of match of the day highlights. Don't see how you could of watched us seriously last season and found a way to aim any of those problems at Solanke other than he's just not Harry Kane which is fair enough. I'd argue he's better than the starting 9's last season for 3 of the top 4 but it's all just opinions.

Great scrapper, including at the goalmouth, hardworking presser, all around good dude, but kind of a shocking pure technical attacking player for 65M though, is the thing.
