Not substantially, and thats based on last season alone when, again, Solanke was playing in a squad managed by an amateur with basically zero tactical plan.

Only Liverpool and City seem to have the right idea so far.
Wharton looks much more an 8 than a 6 to me. I don't think they would be playing the same position and the experience at 6 will be key.
Ederson's the worst of the lot
Think this is a good signing. His experience and defensive skill set in the big away games and CL could be huge.
Provides a great screen for the back four. We already look better under Frank defensively so we'll trust his judgement as I'm sure he's sanctioned the signing.

The thing is, the English league and I think quite clearly English refereeing totally elevated his career as a player.
He makes great use of the PL's little extra leeway for blood and thunder.
Not aiming this directly at the person you're replying to or even the player necessarily but feel like it's a generational thing when people jump on an opinion and run with it as much as they can out of fear being proven wrong and just inbed themselves. Also unsure about how much of the fanbase watches our games outside of match of the day highlights. Don't see how you could of watched us seriously last season and found a way to aim any of those problems at Solanke other than he's just not Harry Kane which is fair enough. I'd argue he's better than the starting 9's last season for 3 of the top 4 but it's all just opinions.

I think this signing, along with Spence’s 90’ at LB today, indicate Gray will be our backup RB this season.
Great scrapper, including at the goalmouth, hardworking presser, all around good dude, but kind of a shocking pure technical attacking player for 65M though, is the thing.
