Assuming that this means Bissouma is headed for the exit. With Gray, Bergvall and Sarr still being young; an older more experienced head in midfield.

Watching Spurs play against Woolwich yesterday, gave some hints on the style that Frank may adopt. It looks like we will surrender possession and sit back. The forwards won't press their defenders aggressivity, but once the ball comes into the centre of the pitch, the midfielders will steal the ball and play it quickly to the forwards.

The Kudus signing and Palhinha loan with option both fill needs and are attractive exciting players in their way.

Now give me a progressive passer to compete/rotate with Maddison and we can call it a window

That’s because a lot of us don’t think he’s the exact player we need.

What we need is someone who can pass the ball from deep and that’s not Palinha

I don’t hate the idea of having a hard cunt who kicks people and gets you the ball back but against 70% of teams who will sit back, we need at least one ball player with him to make up for his lack of passing.

Take today for example, he would have taken Bentancurs spot in the 11 but tbh, Bentancur is the better all round footballer, he’s just never fit for long stretches
I don't mind Donley given more minutes this season to rotate with Madders if Levy and Co have no plans on getting a Madders deputy, provided Donley is really getting the breakthrough. I always think he's special and deserves minutes in the first team this season. Then take the funds and sign a really good and experienced CF or wide forward, then subsequently a LB.

Hilarious that WLB comes out of the woodwork this morning. Been no links in media for ages so he was unable to make up BS. Then some rumours about Xavi Simons yesterday night, and he suddenly pops up with a little made up story about it.

Amazingly, despite having inside info, he mentions nothing at all about Palhinha. Maybe he shared behind the scenes?

Meanwhile his XS story already looks to be BS.
Where did the rumors come from?

Interesting bit im not really a fan of his tbh.

One thing though. If we are going down the route of a very combative and more defensive minded cm area then that does leave the door more open for wingers that stay further forward.
If our cm2 is likely to be palinha and bentancur then thats fine, very solid, but we need absolute dynamite on the wings. Relying solely on kudus would be a fatal mistake.

If we sign Paulinha our powder is still very very dry , we need at least two more quality signings . Team looking better under Frank , although the Ange bar was low tbf . I think Frank is quality and a great hire , we must give him the ammunition though , real bullets not blanks

Mate, after just having had my second prostate bore out and having had four colonoscopies, I don’t think I’ve got any powder left, dry or not. 🤣

I agree that Gray’s Achilles heal is his (lack of) physicality but he does have high end skills and more importantly an incredible footballing IQ.

He is 6’2” so height is not the issue so
surely the physical aspect can and will be remedied but this year may be a little hopeful. He is still only 19.

Archie could well be a superstar soon though
We can hope , fingers crossed

I can see how Palhinha would add an element of combativeness in midfield that we don’t currently have, so I don’t mind a loan. We still need a creative force to compete with Maddison though. I’m not convinced by Kulu in that role.
Forget kulu in that role I’d sell him if he wasn’t injured. No way is he a 10 doesn’t have the skill set. One to get if poss is eze .

Again, if we bought another CF and told Richy he would’t be getting game time in a WC year, you’d be surprised how quick his agent would find him a new club. But we don’t have that dawg in our leadership. They are not obsessed with winning. It’s always “what we’ve got is good enough.”
I see no reason to keep Richi. He is a crap footballer with the ball at his feet. I don’t care if he runs around. All footballers do that. I’d rather we invest time in developing lankshear on a football level I don’t see how Richi is any better.
