I don't expect Spurs to park the bus and wait for the other team to make a mistake, but I do think they may surrender the ball more often in favour of defensive shape. Only a couple of games to go by so far, but looking at how the team structured, it appeared the instructions was the allow the oppo to progress into our half of the pitch and then try and steal the ball and make a quick break up the field and win a free kick in an advanced position.
You would like to think so, don't think Tel or Odobert are first choice.
But good luck to Son he is leaving at the right moment, gave his all and was rewarded with a trophy.
All the best to him he will be back as a club ambassador in the future
You would hope so, he’s one of our what…arguably 2 world class players.
But I honestly think it’s more likely, people say we need to replace him with a bit of a superstar, and the club instead hope that someone like Odobert becomes good to replace him and saves them the money.
They want to replace Son’s talent, but they won’t want to pay for it.

Seeing the Son drop off was sad, particularly his loss of pace. Now was the right time for him to depart on a high as EL trophy winning captain.
Kane is a different sort of player who doesn’t rely on pace. But he’s only 1 year younger than Son and if as has been widely reported he wants to beat Shearer’s PL goal record before he retires, he will need 2-3 injury free seasons to do it.
Now is the time for him to come back to the PL. We could do with a goalscoring 9 with the jury out frankly on whether Solanke or Richie are good enough. A cheeky bid to our mates at Bayern?
I would be keen. Would hate to see him at ManU or Newcastle who both desperately need a quality 9.

For those of you backing Solomon to make it at Spurs, interesting that Frank didn’t mention him when he talked about Tel and Odobert potentially replacing Son.

Parts of his game are very good with elite potential I would say. Other parts are lacking as you say.
The sum total does not add up to a player worth £80M+, to think that is just batshit mental IMO.
I'm on record saying that I don't care what we pay as long as we bring in the right player, but that doesn't mean you can't evaluate a player's worth based on their performance to date, particularly when there are other players out there, playing in a similar position, who are better in this league.
£80M+ is the sort of money you pay for the finished article. Wharton, as good as he is and can be, is not that and is a few seasons away from it imo.
They've probably convinced themselves that they've already replaced Son with Tel en Odobert, sadly.
