Think it'll be Tel/Odobert this season with the hope Moore absolutely smashes his loan and properly breaks through with us next season
Yeah that’s my take as well - they are hoping one or two of Moore/Tel/Odobert/Yang turn into a top player and we won’t sign an out and out left forward.

I expect Solomon to be sold - almost certainly to Leeds - and then we will invest in another versatile midfielder/forward who can play multi positions

AIK's Kevin Filling had a dream debut in the Allsvenskan when the 16-year-old scored in his debut against IFK Göteborg.
Since then, the striker has been sidelined with an injury that has kept him out of action.
Now Expressen reports that both Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in Filling and have made concrete inquiries about the player.
It is worth adding to the information that after Brexit (Great Britain's withdrawal from the EU), English clubs cannot sign foreign players before they are 18 years old.
But according to the newspaper, Manchester United wanted to sign the 16-year-old and then loan him to Lausanne in Switzerland. Tottenham have also proposed a deal where Filling is bought and then loaned back to AIK.
PL clubs reportedly want to snap up Filling before he makes more of an impact and the price increases.

Big clubs scout Kevin Filling in AIK
Kevin Filling, 16, made his Allsvenskan debut just under a month ago and got a dream start in the AIK shirt by scoring in the home match against IFK Göteborg.
Shortly afterwards, the club chose to sign a three-year A-team contract with the promising striker. Although Filling has only played one match in the Allsvenskan so far, his performance has already attracted interest from several big foreign clubs.
According to information to Expressen, both Manchester United and Tottenham have made concrete inquiries about the player. Manchester United reportedly want to sign him and then loan him to Lausanne in Switzerland, while Tottenham have proposed a deal where Filling is bought and then loaned back to AIK. The reason the Premier League clubs have already expressed their interest is because they want to buy Filling now before he breaks through and the price skyrockets.
However, according to the same sources, AIK has no plans to sell. The club has clearly indicated that they want to keep the attacking talent to give him continued playing time in the A-team and allow him to develop in his own environment. A sale is not currently an option.
I wonder what hole he will be filling?

Again;

Both have shown more in pre season than they did under the previous manager.

Give them all a chance.

I have huge doubts about Tel in particular but he picked out a cross that VDV should have scored from against the goons.

As long as he keeps that up I won't dig him out.

I agree, they need a chance but I can already see the endless games of struggling to score and beat teams. Im confident our defence will be much stronger but as I said in another thread we need to carry more of a threat going forward other than kudus.
Otherwise teams will be forcing us back as they commit more bodies forward as they know the risk is not the high.

With son, Solomon leaving we have 6 players for 3 positions. 1 or 2 injuries and suddenly were bare bones and not able to rotate effectively. We need a 7th attacker and not one on the potential end of the scale.

Even grealish would be welcome although id hope for more than that.

Solomon thread is locked so I’m posting this here.

For those of you backing Solomon to make it at Spurs, interesting that Frank didn’t mention him when he talked about Tel and Odobert potentially replacing Son.

That to me means Solomon is goneski. Just need a club to offer sufficient sheckles.
What? The player we basically signed for free taking advantage of a war who has hardly kicked a ball for Spurs is going to be sold for a straight profit?

I'm shocked to my core.

Anyone happy to go into the season with Odobert and Tel as our 2 left wide player options ?
I’m almost embarrassed to say I think Odobert will have a good season, so I’m prepared to give it until Jan for one of them to try and make LW theirs. And on some level, I’ve been preparing myself for just those two since it became clear a few weeks back that Son was leaving this summer.

But if I'm wrong, I’ll be right there with everyone else begging for a big LW signing because as it stands our attack still needs improvement.

We really should be making a big singing to replace Son's quality somewhere across the front line.

Why do t we try for Sesko? Newcastle look very likely to have an offer accepted.f they get him Isak goes to Liverpool, think of their front 3, then think of ours.

I don't think we're even remotely interested in a CF.
But yes as it stands we're comfotably around the 7th - 8th best attack in the pl. Some potential growth in there but all the other teams ahead of us have that also.

Going to be a hell of a lot of tight games this season, even against the bottom teams.

Let's not.

The reality is that some players simply won't go to certain clubs. That's probably how it's always been, although this window is quite exceptional.

What's striking is how Liverpool appear to have gone to the top of the food chain, City very silent, and United overpaying on hope.

Not sure exactly what our strategy is, but we can't compete with the 4 obvious clubs at present.
