thats from ange jan 24 to jan 25

so to be on that list minus the huge CL football money the rest of them enjoy regular is crazy (we actually had no european football and little extra cup games for majority of that fiscal year even.
Levy's mind tricks no longer work on me, we should be way more ambitious
Not sure why you’ve missed out the top of that list, where Man City probably reside, but nevertheless, it shows exactly what I said. We should be around 4th, 5th, 6th in the league.

And one thing we can certainly agree on, it’s astonishing we are on that list without regular CL football. I wonder who is responsible for that?

Just needs to spend more of that money now. Hopefully.

because man city, madrid and PSG live in a different dimension to everyone else.

the point is you were making out that our lot in life should be 6th or 5th. and that's just not true when with CL football money we are in the same ballpark as Woolwich and Liverpool, and ahead of chelsea

Extremely concerning that we aren’t seeing any outgoings yet. And yes, more work needs to be done to get players in too.

I’m sure there’s stuff happening we aren’t aware of, but they need to get a fucking shift on.

Well, Son is one outgoing tbf. Few players out on loan.

Big ones for permanent outs are Bissouma, Solomon, Romero, Richarlison (in terms of things that are supposed to happen based on media links), but it's mostly a big pile of midfielders we need to filter through

We really need to get up to modern standards in the transfer market tbh, it's mystifying how bad we are at moving on failed players, I think we need to get much trigger happier on getting rid of players who haven't worked out or don't fit the team after just 1 season rather than hanging on more in hope than expectation that they will eventually "come good". I bet we could have got back at least £30m for N'dombele, £20m for GLC, £20m for Reguillon if we had ditched them while they still had some intrinsic value, on top of saving their wages for the remainder of their deals, it has been incredibly costly how slow we are to write off players who clearly haven't worked out.

I'd add we were better at this in the past, we got substantial fees for Chadli and Wimmer under Poch and profited on a good number of player deals.

I really don’t know how the list is compiled, but I presume if you have to add on our CL money for the coming season, you probably have to add the money for everyone else too? Or do we just become £50m - £100m richer?

It’s remarkable to me, some of the fees Chelsea and Liverpool get for their dreck. Last couple I can think of that we sold, that made me snigger due to the fee, were Bergwijn and Wimmer. Fucking ages ago.

I know we have scouts supporting Lange and maybe, but maybe not, Paratici, to get players in, but who is dealing with the outs? Seems like it would be quite a specialised position. Wonder if Liverpool and Chelsea have such a person? Sure I read back in the day that Chelsea had Granovskia doing that role when RA owned the place?

Club need to get moving a lot of work needs to be done.
Levy and Lange be like
Homer Simpson Swimming GIF

that would bring them up to about 100m spend, Everton been doing interesting business, not really like them. Guess they dont want the embarrassment of a relegation fight in their new stadium
They didn't get much of a chance to spend the Onana money last season, expect that's where this splurge is coming from.

The Chavs do absolutely amazing work in selling players IMO, it wouldn't surprise me whatsoever if they manage to recoup a decent amount of the N'kunku and Mudryk fees even though both are shite. I want to know what it is about Tottenham flops that is so off putting to other clubs we can't even get them off our books for nominal fees? Reguilon is a good example, he didn't even do that badly at Utd, how did we not manage to get rid of him permanently when he came back from that loan? Surely the Burnleys or Brentfords of this world would be tempted at £6-10m? Are we demanding too much for them? Or are we really signing such shite players not a single club in Europe fancies taking a chance on them?
