Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What's the main pull there? Do they pay much higher wages?

Is it because they are near Heathrow? That the ground is in a (s)wanky part of London?

Looking at the wages lists, they are paying 40% more than us overall. So it's just money? Fuck em.
Primarily has to be better wages, I guess being current world champions might help.
Also, I think Chelsea will be pushing the other 3 hard this season, although you can only have 11 on the pitch at any time their squad depth is miles better than ours.

I think it'll be worse than that
It's going to be Darren Caskey, isn't it?!

Sad Arrested Development GIF

Levy cannot or should not spout aspirations of PL glory on Frank, and oversee a transfer window such as we are seeing, relative to clubs who are pulling away. It's just incongruent and quite unacceptable.

I am going to see who else we bring in before the end of the window, and of course, see who comes into the club in the next few months, but Levy is leaving himself wide open here, and that's said from someone who feels they are quite pragmatic..

None of this flighty garbage was foisted on previous managers, so why now?

I saw that levy interview. Admiring the stadium and his ego and concert being prepped on the pitch. Its about the football 1st team levy. Thats where the imbalance is for Levy imo. Commercial outweighs what happens on the pitch with him.

Some from set pieces. Some from counter attacks.

Low blocks will be tough, but hope Kudus gets his early 2024 form and Odobert steps up
Over a third of our goals from last season have gone with the loss of Son and the injuries to Maddison and Kulu

We scored 61 last year and those three accounted for 23 of them - 37 percent.

Solanke scored 9 so if he's out for an extended period of time half of our total goals will be on the treatment table.

Tel, Richarlison and Kudus have to significantly increase their goal contributions otherwise we are in trouble.
