We are 100% not getting him, mark my words. Something like £300k/week plus bonuses on top of the €90m fee sees him become a Spurs player IMO and there's not a fucking chance we have the stomach for a deal of that magnitude.

I agree but a signing like this is one that where I can say fair play you want us to be competitive we'll this is the calibre of player you get or similar like leao. I agree mainly with you though.

Leao is more doable IMO as we could more realistically do the wages if we are willing to shell out a similar fee to Rodrygo. Milan have been pretty shite lately as well and PL vs Serie A appeal could see him willing to come here.

NVM, it is true, but is taken out of context. It wasn't that it was us, just that he wasn't wanted by his club. To be fair, that would suck, but it was supposed to be part of the Bale deal.
 
Part of me thinks were waiting for all the big guns to do their business so we can steam in. But chelsea are like voyeurs with us and always try hijacking a player off us to piss us off. Tried with Tel and Kudus recently. We will get a few more in im sure though.

I'd rather get Semenyo than Leao.

Similar price bracket, age, etc.... although Semenyo's wages are/would be much less.
